I looked through the threads and couldn't find anything. We usually rent a car, but not this time. What is the best transportation to and from the SNA airport for 5 people [2 adults and 3 kids, but over 11 years old]. Thank you!

Thank you bcla! Do you think doing a taxi will be lower in cost than a Disney bus or Super Shuttle?

Taxi Fare Finder is estimating about $54, although that's dependent on traffic creating delay charges. It could be more or less.

Disneyland Resort Express is $20 per passenger, although one child age 11 can ride free with an adult. There may also be discounts online. Round trip is $35 per adult.

How much luggage do you have? If you're maxed out on luggage, trying to fit all that in a minivan is going to tough and the bus is probably your best option.

So the kid is 11 or over 11? That's DLE's threshold for charging adult fare. There's one free kid per paying adult. If you had 3 kids 11 or under, with 2 adults, the fare would be 2 adults ($40), two kids free, and one child fare ($15).

If all the kids are at least 12, then it's five adult fares.

I'd recommend the taxi. A driver might also offer a flat rate.

I'd say car service. That's what we did for 4 adults + 1 child last time, went flawlessly. Most of the car services are flat rate (and some offer a discount for round trip). I think ours was about $80 each way, and with the suburban, no issues with luggage space.

We always fly into SNA and opt for uber (family of 4), when my parents joined us we used a car service (Lansky's).

Yes, 12 year olds! Just my luck lol! Like you say, it will be 5 adult fares, grumble! Thank you for your post!

Thank you for researching this for me! That was very helpful and very nice of you! I appreciate it tons!!!!

I just did a thread inquiring about traveling from SNA to DLH. Looking at the possibility of using Gray Line Anaheim. Does anyone know of a Discount Code from SNA to DLH ? I see there are one's from LAX, but can't find one from SNA. I'll check the above links also, for information.

I'd do Lyft Plus or UberXL. If you've never used them before, there are promo codes which can easily be found on google (or I can refer you) for a couple bucks off. The Uber fare calculator estimates $32-43 for your route and Lyft Plus is $31-42.

"Best" is relative.

Least hassle is tax van which are readily on standby. You just get in and go, Averages about $45 plus tip
Disneyland Express is cheapest, but you are subject to their schedule on waiting and drop offs
Uber is more popular and cheapest when it comes to dedicated car, you will need UberXL
Hired car service is a way to go but will be most expensive
UberSUV will be riding is style but cheaper than a hired limo service.

I am a die hard Uber fan but for your party size my vote is Taxi. Fastest and easiest in my opinion.

That's the Disneyland Resort Express that's been discussed here. For SNA to Anaheim, $20 per adult (12+ years old) one way and one free child per paying adult. Any additional child is $15.

I don't think Dinseyland Resort Express is the cheapest. The taxi fare estimate also included a tip, so that might skew the results. Some people tip shuttle drivers.

Taxi.....there is a flat rate from SNA to DLR which is around $44 (+tip). From DLR back to SNA, bell services has vouchers and the trip to SNA is $35 (+tip). Meter can run in that range, so really, taxi would be best.

Great ! Thank you

If you take a taxi don't use the flat rate - it will be more (it's a marketing thing). Also beware of hotels arranging the cab for you. I have found they mark up the fare $10.
We have always paid $34~$40 for a cab ride from SNA.
That our experience - YMMV!
