Best way to get from Polynesian to Yacht Club?

Please help! I will be staying at the Polynesian and have dining reservations at the Yacht Club. I can't seem to find any definitive information on buses or ferries. Can anyone tell me the quickest way to get there using Disney transportation? Is it possible to take the monorail to Epcot and catch a ferry boat to the Yacht Club? Should I just pay for a cab?

There are a few options.

1. Take a bus to MGM and then boat to the YC. (almost an hour including wait time)

2. Monorail or boat to MK and then take a YC bus from there. ( probably 45 minutes)

3. Walk to the TTC, take the epcot monorail, walk through Epcot, out the IG, boat or walk to YC. (this is the least appealing IMO. It will take at least an hour and a lot of walking.

4. A cab will be about $12 plus tip and will take 15 minutes.

When we are at BW and need to eat at the Polynesian we always take the MK and then the little ferry boat to the Polynesian and reverse it going back. Do the same thing for the YC/BC.
The only way you can do the monorail is to use a days park entry. You could take the bus to MGM and then take that boat to YC though.

When we stayed at the Poly we used the MK as our travel hub and it worked great.
Take the boat or the monorail to the MK, and then just walk over to the buses and take the bus to the YC. Travel time will be aprox 45 minutes, less if you catch the bus right away.

You guys/gals rock!!! Thanks so much for the info! Sounds like MK then bus to YC is the best way to go if I'm going to use Disney transportation. But $12 to save all that time sure is tempting...

You have already received plenty of good advice on how to get from the Poly to the Yacht Club. The only thing I would add is to really try to avoid going directly from one resort to another. It just takes too much time any way you try to do this, outside of taking a taxi. I always suggest using the nearest theme park for that part of the day. From World Showcase you can exit at the International Gateway of Epcot which is near the United Kingdom. From there the YC is about a ten minute walk. From the Disney Studios you can do this same walk in about 15-20 minutes. You also have the option from either park to take the Friendship boat. The boats run between the two parks throughout the day. They make stops at the Yacht/Beach clubs, Boardwalk and Swan/Dolphin.
