Best way to get from Animal Kingdom Park to DisneyQuest

I'm looking for the best way to commute from Animal Kingdom to DisneyQuest. One consideration is to take a taxi, but I'm not sure if this would be easy or difficult because there will be 7 of us. Another option is to take a bus from AK to Saratoga Springs or OKW and walk from there. I'm not really interested in taking the bus from AK to AKL to DTD as I think that adds too much waiting on the bus.


A few questions:

Any information on how easy or difficult it would be to find a taxi at AK that could accommodate 7?

If we decide to take a bus to the resort, would we be better off taking it to OKW or SSR and then walking from there?

Take a bus to any resort, then catch a bus to DTD. Why pay for a taxi unless you have some reason to be at DQ in a hurry. JMO

Taking a bus to any resort, and then to DTD seems too time consuming. My concern is that once I get to the "other resort", I'd have to wait for the bus to DTD and then it would take the 3 stops within DTD to get to finally get to DisneyQuest. Seems like I could be looking at 60-75 mins to make all of that happen??

SSR is very far away from DisneyQuest. You'd still want to take secondary transportation such as the boat to get across the lake. They have van taxis---if you don't want to spend an hour or more getting there I would grab a taxi of the right size.

When you exit AK, head toward the parking area to the left---that's where the taxis (of all sizes) line up.

It's not a far walk to Disney Quest. There are two sidewalks going to DTD from Saratoga Springs. One that goes towards the Marketplace side
and another that goes toward the Westside Side. I've done it many times.

Depends on where you're going at DTD.

I don't think that most people would want to walk from SSR to Disney Quest. Most people complain about walking around the moderate resorts or walking from the farthest building of POP to the food court. Disney Quest is almost the furthest point in DTD from SSR.

If you do decide to walk from SSR, get off at the Congress Park stop. This is the closet stop to DTD. I can definately see most people walking from SSR to the Market Place, but not Disney Quest. It is clear on the other side of DTD.

I am going to venture a guess that it's approximately one mile from Congress Park to DQ. How do I know this - I do a lot of running and I ran a couple of times from SSR to DTD and DQ. Not that most people would care, but - it is hard to run in DTD in the morning. So many maintenance people in there washing the sidewalks, ect.
