and how long do you think it will take?

If you take the Turnpike (I think it's about $11 to get to disney, maybe just a little more). It will probably take 3 1/2 hours with decent traffic. You can save money by going I-95 then hitting the turnpike at Ft Pierce, but getting through traffic past Ft Lauderdale and Palm Beach can be a nightmare, esp. if it's rush hour.

It always seems to take us longer going I-95, so for us it's worth the extra toll money to go the turnpike the whole way.

thank you. I don't mind the extra money. I'd rather save time.

Take the turnpike. We make the trip a least once a year. Avoid I-95 it is packed . The total trip from Ft Lauderdale is about 3 hours to WDW.
It is quite a scenic route, flat and straight as far as the eye can see, with an orange grove thrown in for good measure; ;)

I would concur on the Turnpike recommendation. Even tho you end up paying an $11 toll (all at the end BTW - I wish EZ Pass worked here tho), you avoid a lot of local traffic, and the landscaping is nicer.

Of course when we are driving in Fla in the winter, one of our favorite rest stops would be to go by a citrus grove stand along the way (drink some really fresh local juice, buy a gummy gator for the 4 yr old and some citrus to keep in the room at WDW). I cannot recall one near the turnpike unfortunately:( (maybe someone else can?). FLL to WDW is a good poke but not too bad a drive.

I concur with taking the turnpike. It is a crap shoot to take I-95 through Ft. Lauderdale and West Palm Beach on hitting traffic and wrecks enroute.

I suggest getting on at exit 54 (Ft. Lauderdale South) where I-595 intersects and get off at the Oceola Parkway exit 249 and it is easy to go right to WDW.
