Following on from booking the flights & the night before hotel :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Which is the best way to book the Disney Hotel?
Or what is your preferred method & why?

Ringing them direct or booking online via a cash back site?

We're planning to do the OH & DD on the booking & then add me in person for the night & get an AP for the discounts.

All thoughts & experiences gladly received :thumbsup2

It really depends on how much you want to pay now. If you book online you have to pay the full amount now but you would get the cashback which could be a reasonable amount of money. If you book on the phone you just need to pay a deposit now and the balance later. We normally book online for the cashback:goodvibes

Can someone explain to me what is "cash back"? Thanks

Cashback is where you use a site like Quidco - you need to register on it and pay an annual fee of £5 - by going to the Disney site from Quidco your purchase will track and you will get a percentage of what you have paid back - usually takes a couple of months - you can use it for shopping with other companies as well. There are other cash back sites availalbe but I know you can use Quidco for Disney.

HTH

You can also use Topcashback which doesn't charge anything to use & its guarentees the best cashback rates:thumbsup2

OP: If you are planning on just booking an adult & child make sure they don't charge extra for only booking one adult as some companies do (they see it as single occupancy).

I always book online as I usually book near the time to go so would have to pay in full either way, so why not make some money out of it:thumbsup2

Thanks.

I assume if I go through the cashback site direct to the Disney site, it'll give me the same price I'm getting now, which doesn't mention single occupancy . . . . can anyone verify this, please?

I only use Top Cash Back, not that I use it enough, the first time I used a cashback site I used Quidco & never got my money on two purchases despite lots of messages to them

we called direct last time as we wanted 2 rooms as there is 5 of us and got quite a good price on the whole package.

BTW we are now share holder do you have to book through them only for this or if you book on line is the a voucher code type box?

You will be getting charged single occupancy by Disney - the easy way to establish this is to do a dummy booking with 2 adults for your choice of hotel, dates etc, then do the same dummy booking but for one adult. You will be charged more than half on the one adult booking, compared to the 2 adults ;).

you'll probably find its still cheaper getting a package with Disney's regular discounts, over paying for one through shareholders discount :). You need to phone to get the shareholders discount price, its not available online.

The single adult occupancy is shown on the bottom right of the price pages in the brochure - I always have to pay it as I am a lone adult with 2 or else 3 children with me. I then always enjoy getting a little back again wiht the cashback!

You should always get the same price that you are getting through the disney site as you click on a link on the cashback site which takes you through to the Disneyland Paris site and then you just book as normal - don't close the window or navigate away from the page while you are doing this and if you are using IE always clear your cookies or use another browser especially for doing cashback (I always use firefox as there would be times using Quidco and IE that cashback wouldn't track)
