best way to add 1 person to ALL my ADRs?

I have decided to bring my DMom along on our trip. I have made a ton of ADRs for June. There has been a lot of availability, luckily. If I call Dining on the phone (not easy with the time change) can they change them all in one step? Or do I need to do it myself online one by one?

Thanks!

I would try online to make new reservations for the new number of your party and whatever you can get a new ressie for ,cancel the old ones. For the rest, I'd call and see if they can add 1 to your existing ressies.

I had the same problem, and since a call to disney takes at least 5 minutes to get through I just went online and redid all my reservations. The moment you delete your reservations it's open to book again so you can just rebook what you cancelled. Sometimes it's easier to make a new reservation then delete the old one

I agree with the posters above and try doing them yourself online. Last year I had to call and add someone at the 5 month mark and all my ADR's had to be cancelled and re-booked one at a time (most of my dinner times had to be changed by almost an hour). So re-book online first and then cancel what you don't want. If you can't get the time you want, keep trying. People are always cancelling and more availability will apprear.

Good luck! :thumbsup2

I have always had good luck just showing up for our ressie with the extra person. They have always been accommodated.

There's no guarantee that they will always be accommodated. If the restaurant happens to be at capacity for fire code purposes when you arrive, the extra person will not be admitted. This is probably rare in most restaurants under most circumstances, but it can and does happen. It's best to try and change the reservation if you want to be certain your entire party will be admitted.

This was my first thought but agree with PP that it can be risky. It really depends on the number in your party. If you're going from 3 people to 4, common sense would mean that they have already reserved a 4 top for your party. But going from 4 - 5 or from 5 - 6 can get hairy.
I would try first to change online or by phone. If you aren't able to, you can always hope for the possibility of a lenient host/hostess when you arrive.

I would try and change them online first. I have always had good luck with adding people on to our reservations when we show up. I know that it is not a given, but I wouldn't rule it out if you have trouble changing a few of your reservations.

If you redoing them online, just make sure to make a new reservation before you cancel your existing reservation. I would hate to see you cancel an ADR and then have all availability be gone.
