Staying at OKW and wondering how I will get to my dining ressies and the time it will take to get there

1) OKW to Wilderness Lodge
2) OKW to Beach Club
3) OkW to POLY

Thanks in advance

1) OKW to WL - bus to MK, then boat to WL
2) OKW to Beach Club - bus to Studios, then walk or boat to BC
3) OkW to POLY - bus to MK, then boat or monorail to Poly

I'd budget at least 30 minutes for each one of these, since they all involve a transfer. If you boat from DHS to BC, that can be time-consuming because of the stops. Walking is faster, but can be a long walk if already tired from walking in parks.

If pressed for time getting to the Poly, the boat is normally faster going FROM MK to the Poly. It only stops at GF and it's a straighter shot, while the monorail has to stop at both the Contemporary and the TTC in the resort loop. The monorail is normally faster getting TO MK from the Poly, since it only stops at GF on the way.

For both WL & Poly, take the bus to the MK. To WL, you have the choice of a bus or a boat from the MK. To Poly, you have the choice of the Resort Monorail or a boat.

For BC, take the bus to DHS. From there, you have the choice of either walking (about a mile) or boat.

Anytime you're traveling between resorts you should allow 1 1/4 hours travel time. It probably won't take that long, but you may just miss the bus or boat, or there may be a delay to load wheelchairs, etc.

You can only transfer at an open park. If you're traveling in the evening and the nearest park has closed, you'll need to go to another park that's still open or to DTD to transfer. Bear in mind there's also a boat between OKW & DTD that you can use as an alternative to the bus, between 10 a.m. and 11 p.m.

This is a good point. My previous time budget of 30 minutes is possible, but not as likely as it being closer to an hour, especially if any of the transportation modes isn't right there waiting for you when you arrive at the depot or dock.

On a very sloooooowly moving Disboards. It's like WDW transportation is at times. I should have budgeted 5 minutes for my post to appear on the site rather than my optimistic assumption of 10 seconds.

We stay at OKW and eat at Whispering Canyon every trip - in all my experience DON'T take the boat from MK to your ressie - bus is way faster to grab from MK (only a short ride over as opposed to waiting 15-20 min for boat then another 20 min boat ride). We do enjoy the boat ride however, so DO take the boat back to MK as a relaxing way to digest your meal!:goodvibes And I would give yourself at least an hour travel time - if you get there early, enjoy the WL lobby and gift shop while you wait! Our favourite spot is the Iron Spike room at the VWL - play checkers/chess while you relax and wait:goodvibes

We were just at OKW in August and it was our first time without a car. We actually took a cab TO our reservations at both the WL and the Poly. When returning to OKW, we took resort transportation to a theme park (DTD one night), and then a bus to OKW. The cab rides were like $13.00 one way, and worth it to us to avoid long waits in the sun with the kids.
