We have a 10 night trip planned for September. Thinking of heading to Sea World for 1 day. I just checked FL Tours and they want $100.00 for round trip to Sea World. Too expensive.

Would it be better to just rent a car for the day? We don't want to do a public bus, not with our 8 yo , 2 yo and a stroller.

Any advice appreciated.

I'm not sure if they still offer this, but Mears used to provide roundtrip transportation to Sea World for $12 pp (adults). I don't know how much a car would cost for the day.

We did this a few years ago and it worked out great. They picked us up outside the lobby area, dropped us off at Sea World. We called them a couple hours before we wanted to be picked up. Walked to the drop off/pick up area in the parking lot, and they were there not much longer.

I have to tell you that the public bus is really good!!! It isn't like an inner city bus...you board it at TTC, then get off at the next stop, about 25 minutes later. To catch it for the return, walk out of SW, cross the parking lot, then the street (isn't hard to cross with little ones) and wait at the Lynx bus stop, right across from SW. For about $1.50 pp, each way, it's just plain smart.
You will find that it will be other families, like yourselves, traveling to SW, or Disney CMs heading out that are using the bus.
