Best way for DD to pay for meals when traveling with a group?

We head to WDW in a few weeks for our national dance team competition. We booked our All Star Resort (don't know which one yet) package through the competition not WDW.

DD will be in a room with several girls & I will be in a room with another mom.

I am guessing it is not possible to attach credit cards to keys/magic bands but only to the room in general?

I had visions of simplifying life & we just charge all our meals to our room BUT obviously THAT won't work...

If I get us each a Disney gift cards will that work fine?

I don't see why you couldn't attach a cc at check-in.

I would go with the gift cards as well. There are too many reports of people ending up being charged for everything in the room when they were supposed to be separated. Just make sure she takes a picture of the back of the card just in case it is misplaced so she can have it replaced.

DD has been to several cheerleading events as a team at WDW. We purchased her a travel VISA at AAA...think it cost 4 or 5 bucks. We set it up with a pin # so she could use it like a debit card at an ATM for cash as well as on point purchases all over Disney. I loved the fact that we could see online every purchase she made and could even load money onto the card online. She was 15 last year and we sent her with a travel VISA to about 5 locations in Europe. Never once, did she have an issue. You also can purchase an additional card and have her tuck it away in case of emergency. All you have to is make a call and switch her funds to the other card. Hope this helps!
