I've thought about getting those flat, roll-up bottles. But I never tried them.

I've used those around home and when I first got them I was impressed. Now not so much because after using them a day at the beach and a day at Kings Dominion they have tiny holes in them. I use an insulated water bottle and love it.

I agree, I own a few and I don't think they hold as much. They're nice to fill with water and freeze and it serves as a great back up ice pack.

It's been 4 years since I've gone to WDW, I'd like to see everyone elses' water bottle of choice so I know what to pack. :)

Best? You'll find that a HydroFlask will keep your water cold for the entire day.

I was curious how durable they would be over time. I know there's different brands made with different material, but I never really researched them.

I used those collapsable bottles (similar to the ones posted above) that I found at the dollar store! Even if they get holes in them, I'm not out a lot of money. However, after using them for the entire week at WDW plus using them some at home, I haven't had any problems with them getting holes.

Aside from bottles, do you realize that you can get free ice water at any QS restaurant at the world so you don't really NEED to take a bottle.

I second Hydro Flask! I bought a 40oz a month ago and should be receiving two more 24oz by tomorrow! I love them! You will have the same ice cubes in your water the entire day, not kidding!

i have been researching this for my upcoming trip and decided on the platypus (this is the one i am interested in: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002EQDP96/ref=ox_sc_act_title_4?ie=UTF8&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER)

i do know that they will give you free ice water at food places, but i drink tons of water, and so does my fiance. my plan is to get 4 ice waters, pour 2 in my platypus and drink the other 2 right away. the one we stored in the platypus can be consumed about 30 minutes later while waiting in line somewhere or during walking to a place. i know that it won't be cold by time i drink it, but i'm ok with that.

i also own 2 polar bear water bottles and have not been satisfied with their ability to keep my drink cold. not sure why it doesn't work well. :confused3

i've also considered the brita filter water bottles since i detest the taste of florida water. i'm hoping the platypus works for me. we used to take one of those telescopic collapsible cups to theme parks too.

i'm interested in other opinions since i haven't purchased the platypus yet (it's in my amazon cart). thanks!

This is a great thread. Hope to hear more people's opinions soon. I've never taken my own waterbottle to the park, but am considering it for our upcoming trip this year. Love the suggestions thus far. :thumbsup2

Want something that will stay cold as long as possible and that isn't too big and bulky. I'm not a big water drinker (I just don't like it, especially FL water), but want to bring a long ice tea/crystal light packets for some flavour.

I have a water bottle from Flylady and it is the BEST!! It doesn't sweat, keeps ice all day, had 2 tops one so ice can fit in and one to make drinking easier (both stay attached to bottle) and a strap to hang it off of something! Planning to order another one for our trip!

We took the new Tervis water bottles for our last trip in June. We used them for a few days, then just went with the free QS water cups the rest of the trip. I like how the tervis bottles keep water cold, and have a top to keep mouth clean. The polar bottles spout got dirty last year when we took them. There is no cover for the spout on Polar bottles

We like the Britta personal size, because the filter does a great job with the Florida nasty water.
That's the plus. The minus is that it isn't insulated, and when dealing with equitorial heat, that's a bummer. Oh, remove the filter before using flavor packets. It will filter the flavor right out!

We use Polar bottles and found them to do pretty good especially if you add ice. We use Propel Zero/Crystal Light packets to help get rid of the taste (my husband says it has that wonderful Pirates of the Caribbean smell). We will also get ice water from CS locations to refill at lunch.

I have a Brita bottle but not crazy about it. Seems the filter restricts the flow too much.

I love my HydroFlask for every day use, but in the parks, this is the best:

On our trip in November, we filled it with mostly ice in the morning, then refilled at water fountains during the day (find the ones in the shade -- the water is nice and cold!). The water tasted great. Saved us a fortune!!!

I might have to purchase one of these for our trip in 2 1/2 weeks. I don't like the taste of metal so it would be worth it for me. Save us some money too.
