Best Walking Shoes?

I've already ordered a pair of Crocs (the Mary Jane type, hopefully they're as comfortable as everyone says). But I'd still really like to get a nice pair of walking/running shoes to switch off with. I need something with a good arch support, that's plenty comfortable. I wear a size 10 women's and a size 8.5 men's. I don't mind wearing men's either, but I'd like something that's not...well...too ugly. Does anyone have anything that they just love? I've been looking at Asics, and I may go with that. The Sketchers Mary Jane type look pretty cute online, but I don't know if they're comfortable or not.

I think everyone will have a different answer depending on what works best for them but my favorites are New Balance running shoes with mostly mesh on them. Lighter and cooler. I couldn't wear any other type of shoe like sandels down there because there is just so much walking and I wouldn't last.
