Best viewing area for 'Wishes' outside of the park

Where's the best viewing area to view and listen to the Wishes fireworks outside of the Magic Kingdom? I noticed a viewing area at the Contemporary Resort, but wondered if it gets busy as it was only a small area.

Perhaps you've gone to another section to ask this question since there were no responses here.

The two locations I think of are:

1. the beach at the Polynesian Resort
2. the boat dock at the Grand Floridian

People who've timed it right liked seeing Wishes from the ferry, mostly by chance, but I'd think it'd be a trick to time it right on purpose! I've also seen some great shots taken from the ferry dock, although I've heard you can get chased off of there and I'm not sure the music is piped in.

Contemporary is the closest, however it's very off center. The Poly beach is further away, but more straight on. Both of those are generally pretty crowded, and I think part of the Poly beach is closed off right now, which would make it more crowded still. Both those have the music, which you may or may not be able to hear, depending on how loud they feel like playing it that night and how loud the crowd is. The California Grill, on top of the Contemporary, has a good view, but is only for people who're eating up there anyhow.

You can see them from the Grand Floridian beach, which would be at least as off center as the Contemporary but further away. They play the music at the restaurants, I think, Narcoosies for sure. I've heard you can also see them from Wilderness Lodge, but they'd be way in the distance and behind trees.

Thanks, I'll probably try from the Poly as it's more centrally located
