We just got home yesterday from our whirlwind vacation starting at All Star Sports. We did WDW for one day and saved our passes for after the cruise.

All I can say is WOW!!!!! The cruise was absolutely amazing! I cried when it was time to leave Castaway Cay, cried watching the shows and cried when we had to disembark!

It was our first Disney cruise and every tip you guys gave me was perfect.

My kids were the first in the Mickey pool on boarding day.
We brought our suits and changed into them as soon as we boarded and got up to deck 9.
We brought on a bottle of wine and ordered glasses and a corkscrew from room service. No problems at all.
Ordered the All Hands on Deck cheese platter to go with our wine. Very nice!
Brought:
over the door shoe bag,
made door signs, didn't see any others
brought our own snorkel gear and pirate costumes (got so many compliments!
took nightlights and extension cord

And so many other really helpful tips from all the wonderful cruisers here!

Best day ever was at Castaway Cay! Snorkeled before the sand got kicked up and if was so much fun. Saw the Mickey under the water.

The sailaway party was a blast as was the Pirate night.

We didn't have time for most of the activities so now we need to go on another cruise. I've already started my research as booking on board was way to much.

Just wanted to say thanks for all the help and everyone answering my questions even though they've been asked a hundred other times. I am totally hooked and as are my kids. I think even my dh can't wait to do it again (if I can find a good deal)!

Glad you had such a Wonderful cruise. If you think they 4 day is great, wait until you try the 7 day!

Kelly,
I probably have you (or your kiddo's) on video at the Mickey Pool! We got on early and had my 8 year old in the pool by 12:30 as the rest of the family enjoyed our lunch poolside. :cool1:
What a great cruise. WONDERful weather! This was our first cruise too, and we almost wondered why we bothered with the parks!
We snorkeled in Nassau and loved it! (Ordered one set of snorkel equipment on Amazon and had it shipped to the boat!) Castaway Cay was great - we took one of the last trams back to the ship. We had 8:15 dinner rotation and loved it. Witt our server was wonderful! Enjoyed Santa Claus 3 and all the live shows. My hubby was humming "when you wish upon a star" for days after without realizing it!
I am soo sad that it is over as I have lived for this trip for so long. These boards made such a difference for us! We enjoyed the last sunset on secret deck 7 aft :goodvibes
Ohh -- and our door was decorated with Mickey Ears and Bronos magnets!

How funny, we were all at the Mickey pool at the same time and didn't know it--DS must have went down the slide 50 times that first afternoon!! I agree--it was the best vacation we ever went on--even DH was impressed. ColoradoMom--we wished we skipped the parks too--should've booked the 7 night right off the bat. I had door signs--never saw any others. We loved the 8pm dining rotation and never felt rushed--we switched to late when we got on board. Glad to hear everyone else had a great time!! I miss it so much!!

Bridget,
You have another one scheduled??? I am sooooooo jealous! :thumbsup2
I need to look at my tape and see if I see any other kids!
It was so hectic before we left, but now I wish we had planned for the few of us to meet on the boat. :wizard:
Do you feel a bit behind with Thanksgiving being tomorrow?? It is weird to arrive home and bang -- it's Thanksgiving! Wouldn't trade the time we went for the world though. I am sooooo thankful that we had great weather. Florida sure was gloomy the morning we got off the boat!

Karen--we rebooked on board, couldn't help it LOL--the deposit is refundable if we can't go but DH was impressed with DCL and said 'why don't you book the 7 night'. I wasn't about to argue ;) . It sure was gloomy and cool out after the cruise--the weather at sea was just perfect and CC was heavenly  .
I can't believe it's Thanksgiving already either and Christmas is just around the corner!!
Have a happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!!

Hey too funny about the kids all being there at the same time. I saw the Rhodes family t-shirts. Which one of you guys was that? My dd was wearing a brown 2 piece swimsuit and my son was wearing blue swimtrunks with a yellow stripe.

You are so right about the gloomy weather coming off the cruise. It fit perfectly with my mood. I was so sad and trying not to cry as we walked off. And did you hear the music playing? All the sad, slow disney songs (You'll be in my heart... from Tarzan) That almost did it for me!

I'm itching to book another for next year but it's hard to convince my dh. He loved it but it's all about the money for him.

In fact my dh seems a little gloomy this week. I told him he was depressed about leaving the Wonder!

We definitely will skip the parks next time. Just not worth it and we've done Disneyland sooooo many times.
