Best use of my PIN code? POR vs. SSR vs. BWI

I was lucky enough to get a PIN code to use for an upcoming stay at the end of January. I'm going to be traveling solo and using an ECV (Scooter) from Buena Vista Scooters to get around. Currently, I have a reservation at Port Orleans-Riverside for a King Bed. I'm thinking of changing that though. When I look at the average "savings" to stay there, it's only about $20/night. However, if I were to stay at either Saratoga Springs - Deluxe Studio or at Boardwalk Inn in a Garden View room, the "savings" is closer to $100/night or more.

I've never stayed at SSR or BWI, but have stayed at POR (when it was still Dixie Landings). I doubt that I could afford to stay at them if it weren't for this PIN code.

Can anyone give me the pros/cons for staying at either SSR or BWI?

I've not stayed at either, but I would choose BWI - I love the Epcot resort area. Our favorite resort is BC. The atmosphere of the area is so nice, and there is easy access to Epcot and HS by boat or short walk/ECV ride.

Thanks! Anyone else have a suggestion? Looking for someone who has stayed at SSR and BWI. Going to edit title, maybe that will help.

My family has stayed at BWI three times in two years. We fell in love with resort. The decor, the CM’s, the location, and the boardwalk at night is breathtaking. Disney has done an outstanding job with theming (1930’s-1940’s) Atlantic Boardwalk. The location is perfect. You can walk or ride to two parks. I would definitely choose BWI over SSR.

I would suggest BWI as well. We haven't stayed at SSR, but have eaten there and walked around. I think if you are using an ECV, BWI is more convenient to get to things than it would be at SSR. BWI has interior corridors, and most rooms are in one building. Plus you have easier access to food options on the boardwalk. Friends of ours have stayed at SSR, and weren't all that thrilled with transportation options either. SSR is convenient to Disney Springs, but things will be a hike to get to, especially depending on where you are at the resort. It's very spread out. BWI would win hands down in my opinion. It's one of our favorites. Location is excellent, access to two parks, easy to go to Epcot for dinner options as well. Plus, you can see/hear fireworks from Epcot! Have a great time, no matter what you choose!

BWI--scooter to EPCOT and HS. POR and SSR you would have to take scooter on and off bus all the time. With BWI, only bus needed for AK and MK.

When I look at the average "savings" to stay there, it's only about $20/night. However, if I were to stay at either Saratoga Springs - Deluxe Studio or at Boardwalk Inn in a Garden View room, the "savings" is closer to $100/night or more.
Is the amount of the discount more important to you than the actual price? Are the more expensive resorts now affordable with the discount, or would it be a stretch? Is a queen bed + (unused) sofa bed acceptable to you, given that king bed is not a bookable category outside the Moderate resorts?

Then, having stayed at both POR and SSR, I would agree with the BWI suggestions. SSR is newer, although not new, but BWI has location.
