Hi all. When things like tropical storms hit Disney, what kinds of shoes do you all wear to the parks? I normally wear good, supportive, breathable running shoes and have no trouble with 20k steps/day in the parks. They get pretty wet and heavy when I'm walking in the rain.

I have a hunch that our next WDW trip will be in August this year - a month that I never wanted to go, but due to my DD22’s school schedule, I think August in unavoidable. I’m buying these for us - I heard from others they work great. I have bad feet, so I can’t bounce around from shoe to shoe depending on the weather. These covers should allow me to not do that, at least I hope 🤞🏻

My Brooks Ghost GTX running shoes are waterproof. If it's forecasted to rain, I make sure I wear those to the park, since I bring several types of shoes and switch daily.

Keen sport hiking sandals.

I know that there are some sneakers that are waterproof, but to me the main issue is more dry socks. Waterproof shoes won't necessarily protect your feet if your socks get wet. With my Keens, they are plenty comfortable without socks, and far sturdier than a slide sandal or flip flops.

I wear a pair of Brooks sneakers, pack one pair of Brooks sneakers and my Keens, and I'm good to go.

It rained on us the majority of the day yesterday. I wore Saucony running shoes (not sure exactly which style ) that are so comfortable and fairly lightweight. They were soaked through by the afternoon and I was pleasantly surprised that they were mostly dry by this morning! My son wore crocs and fared the best of all of us, obviously.

I’m also a fan of Keens hiking sandals; I wear Whispers. That’s in warm weather, of course. Fortunately, heavy rain is less likely during winter months, when it’s too cold for sandals.

I have a pair of these and they do keep your feet dry but can be slippery on polished stone/tile surfaces (don't ask me how I know).

I stick with Tevas on days with heavy rain forecasts.
