Best travel blanket?

Hi all,

I want to pick up 2 travel blankets for my kids for the plane (they are 9 & 11), I prefer something on the soft side in terms of material. Ant recommendations would be appreciates, Thx, Marina

One thing I use personally, although I have friends who bought them for kids, is a Mickey/fleece blanket combo. I found them in my local stores. It comes with a Mickey, or Minnie, that has a college jersey on them, PLUS a small fleece blanket, themed with Mickey/Minnie and the team logo. Mine is Ohio State (GO BUCKS!!). If either of your kids is into sports, it would be a good option. I just googled 'disney ncaa hugger pillow' or something like that, and several colleges came up. I like it because for me on a plane, it could bring up 2 points of conversation, Disney or OSU. But in general I would recommend any small/lap size fleece blanket. You can buy the fabric to make you own, or buy one for a couple dollars. I tend to get cold on planes, so I don't find the fleece heavy, plus it folds up fairly small. It also bunches well to make a pillow.

I have the Vera Bradley disney fleece blanket that is awesome and is big enough for two people. My hubs and I share it on the plane.

My favorite is the Nap travel blanket. I got mine at brookstone years ago. Still just as cozy.

I just looked around bc now I want to get some for my girls. Toys r us has some really cute Disney fleece throws.

How long is the Flight ?

They are aged 9 & 11 Let them decide What to take . They are Not babies

Then If they wish to Buy some blankets Or Towels for the Return journey buy them at Disney

A nice cashmere blanket is the best, although maybe not for a 9 & 11 year old.

My kids bring blankets from their bed. They like them and I would hate to buy a new uncomfy one for them just for a trip. Plus my kids blankets are folded/rolled/smooshed up in one of the bags. I wouldn't pull it out on the plane because then I'd have to wash it because my kids...well they drop things...plane, airport, bathroom floor...

I would do something small vs a larger one.
