Hi we are looking at going to Disneyland Paris in late Sept 2014 has any one found any good travel agents to use from Australia or overseas ones that will accept bookings from Australians. We will using the euro star only on the return trip as we will be travelling around Europe during the month of September.

Hi,

I booked online through the .ie site, meaning I can pay in Euro.

We will be there in January, I have booked Eurostar one way London to Paris, and then we will be staying in Paris. Start stalking the dates for Eurostar as soon as you have your travel dates confirmed - the prices increase as the allocation sells out.

I just booked it myself. We didn't stay on property, but at one of the Good Neighbour hotels (Hotel d'Elysee). Just booked it through Expedia when they had a good special - that way I could prepay it (which I find better for budgeting) and it went through in Aussie dollars.

I also booked all our train travel myself online. Was very easy :thumbsup2

Unlike Zanzibar I booked direct with DLP using the English site as they had the cheapest special deal running and paid for it with my Aus credit card. Even with the conversion fee, it was cheaper than the price offered buying as "other country" person. (You can buy through any of the sites listed on the DLP main website - just sign in as if from another country, to take advantage of best deal.) Prices often jump from one year to another so buying early when its still the old price and when they have a deal going seems to be the best - stalk the DLP Disboards for mostly UK people but also Europeans posting when deals have just been released or are expected. We were lucky and the cost of on site accommodation in one of the cheaper hotels (Hotel Cheyenne) which included breakfast together with tickets was much the same price as buying tix separately and staying off site though we did then have to buy lunches and dinners on site rather than having a kitchenette or cheaper off site meals - but we got a 50% off accommodation deal.

Train tickets are easy to book yourself as well either direct with Eurostar or through Rail Europe. Again we got the best deal for one way travel with Rail Europe-the best Eurostar deals are for return travel from the UK-we never saw a good one way deal. The cheapest and the option that suited us best due to train times was to catch the train from Gare D'Nord not DLP though (we just took the local train to Gare D'Nord from Marnee La Vallee - the DLP train stop). One way Paris to London was $50 in Feb. When I got onto book for May we ended up paying $67. Other rail trips in Europe could also easily be booked using Rail Europe.

Sorry but I would expect you will pay more to book through a Travel Agent here as they just won't be up on the special offers for DLP which may appear 6 months prior and may not be offered to Australians or will be offered to you if you register on their site and then they send you special deals as they are released (but none I received matched the UK deal one).

Happy planning!
