Best transportation from LAX

I just be missing something? The rate on the website was like $230 round trip? An uber should only be about $100 round trip shouldn't it?
The OP didn't ask for the cheapest. They asked for the best recommendation for private car service. We flew in from International and our driver was waiting at the bottom of the escalators prior to baggage claim at LAX. 30 mins later we were sitting in the foyer of DCA having checked in. The price also includes a grocery stop should you wish to grab supplies on the way.

We had trouble with a Super Shuttle and number of bags one time. When you make reservations, be sure to count large carry on as a full sized bag.

We like using Lansky's. I know our ride will be there when I want them (even if your plane shows up late), there is no surprise in cost, and you can stop off at a store for water, snacks, or whatever.

We used Lansky yesterday and would highly recommend them.

Daniel meet us at the exit with our name on a sign and handled all of our luggage for us, and we had a lot.

The car was very nice and we had a 15 minute stop at Trader Joes.

The cost was $110 and I would definetly use them again.

How fast did he drive??? It is 35 miles from LAX to the Grand and it would be rare to encounter no traffic. I would allow a min of a hour time for that drive. It could be 2 or more at times.

How many people can fit in the Lansky's car?? I am starting to look at a trip for 13 people, incl 2 4yr olds and a 7 yr old, and I'm thinking the bus might be our only option. Would be great to know how many people fit in the car service however. Thanks!

We arrived Saturday morning 8am. Absolutely no traffic & no stops, was amazing quick.

Lansky has sedans and 6-passenger vans. You might be able to find a different car service with minibuses that would seat your whole party. I think Karmel Shuttle has some larger vehicles.

Absolutely, the OP didn't ask for the cheapest, but if you read the comment that I quoted, the poster mentioned:
The price from LAX is comparable to what is listed above as a Lyft quote,
Which is what I was referring to.
Lansky's, from what I saw on their website, is absolutely not comparable in price to Uber/Lyft, unless, like I said earlier, I am missing something?
Are they a superior service? No doubt.
Do they meet the needs of the OP's initial question? Possibly (thats subjective on the OP's part)
But are they comparable in price to Uber? I couldn't see how, which is why I was asking if I was missing something.

Karmel may well have larger vehicles, but I'm not entirely sure if that is the point here. People, I guess, go with what and who they know. Certainly when my wife and I make the trip once again from the UK to the Los Angeles / Anaheim area we will definitely consider using Karmel again as they were superb with us back in October 2016.

Thanks all for the input. Love having several opinions and suggestions. Definitely good to read several of you having the same great service. Thanks for your time!!

For those of you that use Lanksy's, is gratuity included or do you tip your driver when they drop you off? Thanks.
