As much as I would like not to "farm out" our reservations to other companies, it is a necessary practice among ALL transportation companies. It is impossible not to do it. It does not only depend on availability, but unexpected changes in our daily schedule (flight delays, weather and etc...), changes we can not predict.
The people we subcontract are "owner operators" which we've known personally for a long time, trained ourselves, and mostly only work for us (so, basically the same as our own drivers with our own cars). Most are dependent on us, and above all, do not have business phone lines nor websites (so, impossible to be reached directly).
Was the service good or have you had any problems? Just wondering...
