I KNOW this has been asked many times and sorry for the redundancy, BUT...what is your favorite shuttle service? We will be flying in from Iowa the day before and interested in taking an Orlando towncar shuttle to and from the airport to a Cape/Cocoa beach area hotel. Thanks and have a very Disney day!!

When we take a towncar to our Disney cruises, we use Happy Limo. They have a coupon rate and have been very reliable for us. You may want to ask this question on the Transportation board, too.

Fl Tours gave us excellent service last August. Coincidentally, the picture below is of one of their limos. They offer towncar and shuttle service as well.

:cheer2: :cheer2: We are huge fans of Tiffany's Towncars.... We just booked our 5th trip with them! :cheer2: :cheer2:

We used Southern Elegance on our last trip and their service was top notch! Great cars, great drivers. I highly recommend them.

We've been using FL TOURS for years and highly recommend them, plus they are a DIs sponsor!

Hi, we have used FL tours three times and never had any problems. There drivers were always timely and helpful and the van was clean. We plan on using them again for our September trip.

We used Quicksilver for our last trip and we were farmed out to another service. This practice totally annoys me. If a car service doesn't have availability, they should tell the customer and let them decide if it's OK to be switched to another service. If I wanted to be shuttled by that other company - I would have booked them. Vent over, thank you.

As much as I would like not to "farm out" our reservations to other companies, it is a necessary practice among ALL transportation companies. It is impossible not to do it. It does not only depend on availability, but unexpected changes in our daily schedule (flight delays, weather and etc...), changes we can not predict. :goodvibes

The people we subcontract are "owner operators" which we've known personally for a long time, trained ourselves, and mostly only work for us (so, basically the same as our own drivers with our own cars). Most are dependent on us, and above all, do not have business phone lines nor websites (so, impossible to be reached directly). ;)

Was the service good or have you had any problems? Just wondering... :confused3

My best regards,

Gregory Nicolas.

Have had 3 wonderful trips with Tiffany, using them again next month. :flower:

My brother is a limo driver here in NJ - for 25 years - never heard him mention "farming out"... will have to ask him about that and let you know.

My best regards,

Gregory Nicolas.

The reason we tried Quicksilver because I had read a couple glowing reviews of your service here.

I called when we disembarked, so your driver could easily locate us at the port. But he was a sub and that message didn't get relayed to him, so he was running around the terminal looking for us. We finally hooked up and got to our destination though.

The reason I do not approve of farmouts, is because while you may have the utmost confidence in someone's else's service and driver, you don't know that your passenger agrees that other company is sound or even if they've had a prior bad experience with them. For some people it doesn't matter as long as the ride shows up, I'm a little more concerned about who my family gets in a vehicle with.

We've used other services but Tiffany many times and this last trip used Quicksilver. Excellent service by both. I understand Honu's observations but I've noticed most use independent operators however I assumed they were all bonded. Good question would be what service does not use them.

I fully understand your point of view and couldn't agree more. :)

As I stated above, we do not farm out to companies you could have used; those we use are "owner operators" which DO NOT have any contact other than with us, and maybe a couple other companies. They are the type of subcontractors that only have the "tools" (Vehicle), not the business itself. :flower:

To everyone else here, sorry to have this "discussion" in the open forum, just thought I should explain how we operate so there is no confusion in the future. Thanks!!! :goodvibes

Have a great day... :sunny:

:) :) :) :)

We used Murray Hill and had a great driver for my daughter and family in the afternoon, and then when my son and family came in that evening - Maria was great - my only complaint was that my daughters family had an early flight returning and the driver was late (different driver and even different type of vehicle, maybe we were farmed out), and he did not help with luggage, though they had a baby with them, and complained the whole way to the airport about the early pick up.....:( , but my son had a great driver for his return trip and no problems

We just used Quicksilver for the second time earlier this month. They were exceptional both times! Driver was waiting at the baggage claim ready to help, he had a lovely, clean, fresh smelling town car, and he was an excellent driver. The driver on the return trip was right on time (actually a few minutes early which is fine), very pleasant and an excellent driver. Quicksilver will have our repeat business. Thanks, Gregory!

Have used Tiffany Towncar 5 times, as recently as this past May, and have always been satisfied.

Hi,
We used Tiffany before and my Aunt has used them twice. Always works out great!! One mistake we made...we thought we'd have the same driver for our return trip so we gave him the entired tip upon our arrival at the world. We had a different driver for the return trip and felt obligated to tip him too!
Good Luck!
