So usually I'll plan trips 5-6 months in advance...this time, its about 3-5 weeks (depending on scheduling/getting time off)! I'm the strange one with excel sheets and a planning binder:rotfl:. Our passes expire May 7th and we haven't been this year (2010) yet because of work.

I'm a little worried about getting a hotel, PS, and touring plans. And I have a dilema we all dream about, I'm spending all my time planning our upcoming WDW trip (end of May).

So let me have it - last minute planners out there - where should I even start?!

(PS - just DH and I, 20somethings, 4 trips last year)

DL definitely doesn't need as much planning (in my opinion) as WDW. I'm not sure we've ever planned a trip more than a month or so out, and we've never had a problem getting PS anywhere we wanted (even if it was on the same day).

We usually just kind of go with the flow. Our schedule is often dictated by who's meeting us at the parks on a certain day (we have friends in the area and some cm's who we enjoy taking to lunch when we can), but other than that, we usually do DL the 1st day, DCA the 2nd, then kinda go from there for the last full day (maybe hop back and forth). On the very last day, we always have to end it at DL though (it's usually a half day).

Not very helpful, I know, but, after going to both WDW and DL many times, DL is MUCH MUCH MUCH more laid back in terms of having to plan in advance (at least for us).

You'll have a great time no matter what! Just don't over-think it!!! :thumbsup2

Well, definitely start by coordinating your schedules and getting the days off from work first because you can't really do anything without knowing when and how long you guys will be there. I'm not sure where you guys live but if you are planning on flying, start checking out the prices for flights (it may help you guys eliminate some dates if some days/weeks are cheaper than others). HoJo doesn't have many dates available for the AP discount (early April and after May 7th) so definitely check out Last Minute Travel/Hotels.com/Travelocity/Expedia and see if you can get some last minute deals. You may also want to check the hotel's websites directly as they are sometimes cheaper. Let us know guys settle on the dates and if you have any specific questions ~ good luck! :)
