Hey guys! Can anyone share with me the best times to eat at DL? We will be having continental breakfast at the hotel and snacks but I think we want to eat at non-peak times. What do you suggest? I am thinking of Carnation Cafe for lunch. The baked potato soup looks amazing! Thanks!:yay:

Never eat at the traditional times unless you have a PS because the rest of the folks in the park will stick to the noon and 1700-1900 schedule.

11ish if you are hungry enough by then. I would avoid anywhere between 11:30 and 2PM. For dinner, 6PM-8PM is very crowded, so 5-6 should be fine.

We usually eat during regular lunch times (12-1ish). If you want to eat somewhere in the park (esp. character dining), make sure you have a reservation! If we don't have ADRs somewhere, we go out to DTD, which is a nice break from the mayhem anyway. La Brea is super close, nice menu with good food, usually not too long a wait, and a fun place to people-watch. We usually eat there several times on any given trip. We also like Naples and Napolini.

IMO, the food at DCA is much better than at DLR and there are several walk-up places that don't take too long. (Taste Pilot Grill is an exception - it takes forever and the food is not very good.) We will sometimes head over there to eat if DLR is too crazy.

*These statements are made from my experiences prior to opening of WOC, so they may be entirely useless as far as I know.* :)

Yes, TPG is very slow so when we go there we make sure it's before 12. If you go before noon it doesn't take that long. We hated our cheeseburger there but we really like the ribs. We get the 5 rib plate and DH and I split it.

We love TPG and it has never taken that long for us.... ? I don't know, maybe we get lucky...but we do eat at off times so that might be it. At home we eat at off time too tho, that's how our family runs so it's not that big of a deal for us. Altho if there is something I really want to eat I make sure to have a PS set up. :)

The best times to eat is when you are hungry! Every where you turn at Disneyland, there are many yummy things to try!The food porn has such awesome pictures of food everywhere, so it would depend on what you want to eat! Grab a bite at Golden Horseshoe and see a show for example. There are many places that have fresh fruit, sandwiches and other things you can split and get a decent meal without breaking the bank.
Whitewater Snacks in GCH has yummy foods in a quiet, relaxing setting. I wish I would have taken more pictures when I was at DL but I was worse than the kids with looking everywhere and having such a good time. I forgot! Next time! :thumbsup2
