Best time to visit World Showcase

When you factor in the heat (end of June), the crowds and the chance of rain - especially if you want to watch some of the shows, which is the best time to visit the World Showcase:

11 to 3
or
4 to 8

I believe most of the shows are during the day, so I would go with 11 to 3. If you are interested in meeting characters, most of them are also out during the day and are only available until around 5 I think.

I agree with @AllieBoo. That time is great to meet characters. The only problem with night time IMO is it gets crowded before Illuminations and it's not very well lit.

I would do 11 until whatever time you can take it. 4-8 gets into the real heat of the day along with the thunder and lightning storms.

World Showcase feels like the hottest place on the face of the earth in the summer. I don't know why, if it's the sun or the concrete or the lack of trees. Anyway, the earlier the better when it comes to heat.
