Best time to go?

We are going back in December, but this will have to be the last time we can go during the school year. So now I have to decide the best time for us to go. My options are go in the summer, kids don't get out till late June, so we could go anytime between late June and end of August (they go back to school after Labor Day). We can go Thanksgiving week, I would have to pull them out that Monday, but the rest of the week they are off. The week before Easter, that's the time of their spring break, or the week between Christmas and New Year's. Help me decide!

Besides being a school administrator, I have 3 school-aged children. Thus, we can only visit WDW during breaks...and we do!!! We have found that the week before Christmas is the least busy time for us. After that, the end of May is great! Our fall break is in early October. It was quite busy at WDW during that time last year -- even more busy than our spring break (which was 2 weeks before Easter this past year). Last summer, we found the parks to be empty at the end of July/beginning of August. Free dining and good rates put an end to that this summer.

Give those choices I would say as early, or as late in summer as possible.
Best time is to go after Thanksgiving up to the week before Christmas.

SqueakyMouse, how much is done in the schools the week before Christmas. I might consider taking them out then. Ds is just going into Kindergarden, and our school only has half days for kindergarden, so I am taking him out for the second week of December this year. Next year, once he starts 1st grade, I don't know if I'll risk taking him out for a week, so I am trying to find the right time for us to go. We don't do well in the heat, so I really don't know if we'll brave Florida in the summer. There is still plenty of time to decide, but I am just trying to get an idea. Thanks

Realistically, I always have to go during the summer since I'm a teacher.

Ideally, I would go Thanksgiving week. My family went over Thanksgiving when I was younger, and we had a great time. The weather was nice and the crowds were really manageable.

I picked summer but Ive heard that the 1st week of December is the best time to go.
