Best time to go to WDW?

Which part of the year would be your preferred time to go to WDW and why?

Mid January (MLK weekend)
Mardi Gras (Sometime in Feb. as long as it doesn't fall during Pres. week)
Mid-May (our schools let out kind of early)
Labor Day weekend
Mid October (Possible Columbus Day weekend)
The week before Christmas

We have kids, so I want to go around a holiday as to only miss one or two days of school, but not go during Thanksgiving, Christmas to New Years, Spring Break, or the summer!

Well, we would not pick Jan. because we do NOT like to swim when it is cool and it will be cool then. This may not matter to you though. We have been during Columbus Day weekend and the week before Christmas, both times are moderate crowds and both were very fun ( we did MNSSHP and MVMCP!) February should be low crowds but still cool. Labor day will be HOT, and possilbe hurricane time (though you can never predict that!) I guess May would be great as most schools do not get out until late May, and even June up north. It kinda depends on what you want weather wise and what kind of special holiday things you want to do. Christmas is gorgeous and the week before was manageable last December to us! Lots to consider, have fun planning

Mid-May thru Labor Day will be waaay too hot and humid, so any time other than those should be fine.

October or May- those are the best times to go IMO.
