Hi All You Disney lovers!!

My family (of 12) all went to Disney World and a Disney Cruise last October and we just can't quit talking about how much fun we had!!

We have since added a few more to the family (2 little babies and a boyfriend and girlfriend) and are getting the bug to go to Disneyland in October 2009.

I have been working with a travel agent who said that the Utah schools have their UEA conference and are out the last week of October and that would be a horrible time to go - full of Utahns.

Well that's when we want to go! lol

I heard that their UEA conference is at the first of the month and I also heard that the kids get out at the first, and the conference is later in the month.

Does anyone know that for sure??

Is the end of October (25th - 31st) a good time to go as far as the crowds and weather? We would also like to spend Saturday at the beach.

Any good deals at Disney or at hotels?

Thanks so much for any comments or suggestions.

We were talking about it today and I am getting SOOO EXCITED!!

Thanks,

Kelly

UEA is Oct. 1 and 2 this year. And Gay Days is the same weekend. So, it sounds like it will be very crowded as both usually draw quite a crowd. Check out HoJo for some rooms. We had a group of 8 on our last trip and got 2 connecting rooms in Bldg. 2 using the Ent. card rate. They were $59 a night. The rates went up and now those same rooms are $69 a night, but still worth it. We had a room with upgraded beds and bedding and a fridge and microwave. We loved having those, it made breakfast really easy and fast in the mornings. We are staying there again this trip, we love being able to walk to the resorts after 3 previous trips where we drove and parked. It is soooo much more convenient and easy.

That is my check in thread. I scour the internet for both onsite and off site things that affect the parks. The 16th of October is the DCA Halloween party. That is the only thing scheduled around that time. I would skip the first weekend as the education event and Gays are going to be in town and that is going to make the place a bit more crowded. Nice people but my objection is that there are a lot of Gays and their friends and family that day as well as for many their major vacation for the year.
