Best time to book Good Neighbor Hotel for Best price?

When is the best time to book a Good Neighbor or a Hotel (within walking distance from DL) for a great price? Is there an online travel booking site that is better than others for DL hotels? Planning to around 3rd week of May 2016. Thanks for your help

Checking the individual hotel property webiste especially in advance is usually best. However Orbitz often offers an extra 15% off , but it's not always better than booking direct.
It takes a little extra effort but checking manually yourself can sometimes save extra.

It takes some work. After you decide what hotels meet your needs as far as location, amenities etc you then need to repeatedly check the hotels website and other sites to find some deals.

I booked our May 2016 trip back in July and I checked the other day and it's already gone up $20 a night since I booked. I got a $109 a night price at the Tropicana using the stay 5 or more a night discount

I would check getawaytoday.com they have 3rd & 4th night free deals. And At least 6 months in advance it when I book. I already booked my Mar 31st 2016 trip.

I booked our oct trip back in jan and got desert inn and suites for $89. Prices have only gone up - I checked pretty much every week just in case it went down. I booked directly through the hotel.
So, my advice is the sooner the better. Especially if they don't require payment in advance.

I checked getawaytoday.com and my price is about $400 cheaper. Glad I booked my hotel already. I booked directly thru the hotel. I agree with tzeitel, the sooner the better!

I also book as soon as I know my dates. When booking directly through the hotels, as I do, they will always adjust your rate down if the rate drops before your trip. Most times rates only go up but I have had them go down slightly a couple times.

That is the price we got for booking in early February for a late May trip. I think the trick with booking is to book early, but make sure they have their availability up. In August I noticed that many of the hotels didn't have the best rates for next summer, or weren't available to book. I guess it's just too early? But you can always make a reservation and change it later if the price decreases. Just make sure you don't do a pre-paid amount unless you know those are the days you want and the best price you'll get. Less than $100 a night is a good deal for most of the hotels within walking distance. Many of them are closer to $150. We have yet to pay more than $100 a night. Some people swear by last minute deals. Those work best if you only need one room (2 people for Priceline, 4 people for many other sites), and you don't care which hotel you get.

I have already booked our trip for next June directly thru the hotel, we are staying at the new Homewood Suites because we are staying 12 nights I did see where GetAwayToday.com has them on their site now but it was ALOT cheaper to still book directly thru the hotel, sometime getawaytoday.com offers free parking or breakfast where the hotel does not but that wasn't the case here, I always do a ton of research, and I also did notice the prices did already go up a little for our hotel also...I also noticed the longer you stay the cheaper it is!!
