I know this has been addressed before but I'm going to try to save to get my family a disney vacation for 2007 Xmas.

I've been to disney in feb and the crowds were low.. a bit chilly.. but this year we went the week of labor day it was like we had the parks to ourselves I LOVED IT!!!! But it was rainy (hurricane season)

When is the BEST time to go? least crowded? It will be my niece's first time and I"d like to try to guestimate the cost as far as which week to stay. Also do you know how far ahead you can book and some payment options? If I could book NOW I could pay monthly and afford this darn trip! lol!

I'd like the hours to be nice and long like they were labor day but without the crowd. Also loved that a lot of the "seasonal" things were going on because it wasn't OFFICIALLY off season yet.

Thanks for any tips!

I love late April/early May after all the spring breaks and Easter. We used to do this every year until it became to difficult to take our DD out of school. October and early Novermber is our second choice but things seem to close earlier.

The best time in my opinion is either late April through early May , or October through early November.

Both offer a good combination of low(ish) crowds and ideal weather.

I have enjoyed goin g in May. I have gone the weekend before Memorial Day and also last year I was there for the flower and garden show on Mother's Day weekend and I really didn't think the crowds were bad.

We also enjoyed going in November....we went the weekend before Thanksgiving and really enjoyed the parks....it did get a little chilly at night....but nothing that a sweatshirt couldn't handle. The plus side of going in NOvember most of the christmas decorations were up and we were able to see the Osbourne Lights. The senior citizens in our group really enjoyed that.

How's it going CinRell?

It's been a while, but as I've discussed before, I really love December. Crowds are fairly light and I'm a Christmas nut so love the decorations and music. If you go early December it's also value season so that helps a little. I also love MVMCP. I think I'm taking my cousin's son in December of '07 for his first trip (he'll be almost 6).

Don't know if you can do a monthly payment plan though, I'd like to find out. It's always nice to have everything paid for before you actually go.

Let me know if you have any further questions about December. I've been both early in the month and over Christmas.

Also, I noticed your ticker and congratulations. Keep up the good work.

I would have to vote for the week before Thanksgiving. We went to WDW for the first time that week. It was like we had the place to ourselves. The weather was nice during the day and almost no wait for rides.

We've been there twice the first week of December, and it was wonderful. All decorated for Xmas, special shows for the holidays, cooler days that were great for walking around, low prices & crowds. No rain.

My favorite time to go is anytime between the week after Thanksgiving and the second week of Christmas. The decorations are amazing and attendance is pretty low. Although, last December we went the second week of December and WL was pretty crowded, it was pretty chilly a couple of days, and the parks weren't as empty as they were in Dec. '01 but we still had a blast!

This year we arrived the Saturday after Thanksgiving and stayed thru the following week. The weather was wonderful. It was sunny and warm during the day (except for 1 day) and when the sun went down it cooler but certainly not cold.

All the Christmas shows and decorations and parades are in full swing. I can't wait to do it again.

It wasn't crowded and my understanding is that the further you go into December the more crowded it gets.
