Best time of year to book at stay at a Disney hotel?

What is the best time of year to book a stay at DH or GCH? Best time to lol for deals and where to look? I have a flexible schedule and can come anytime. I'm planning a trip for the end of this summer but I was thinking for after that?

We were able to book the GCH this past February for less than $230/night. I booked through Orbitz when they had a 20% off code. Other inexpensive times are during Dapper Days by booking through the DD website.

They haven't offered a deal on a non-Premium room after Labor Day for a few years now.

In January/February I've seen pretty good discounts at the disney hotels in the past but you also have a lot of ride refurbishments going on that time of the year.

The Dapper Days info is linked in the post you quoted. The nice thing about that time period is Dapper Days is treated like a convention, with convention ticket discounts ($46 off the 5-day park hopper, ~15% discount).
