Best time of year for Seaworld?

I've been wanting to take my family to Seaworld but we can never agree on a time of year. When we go to Disney (usually in November) we like to spend all of our days there. We have also made a Universal trip this year to see WWOHP, but all of our time was spent in Universal. Next summer we're going to Sarasota for beach time, but my wife hates going to parks in the summer because of the heat. However, this would be the best time to make a break for Seaworld. Would anyone recommend not going during the summer heat?

There are plenty of places to cool off and relax during the summer. Some shows are indoors so there is air conditioning. All shows have covered seating which blocks the sun for the most part. Some of the exhibits are even indoors.

But if you want the BEST month to go to Seaworld, or any theme park in Orlando, that would have to be the 2nd week of January. The SLOWEST time of the year in central Florida. Good weather. It may get really cold some days, but some days it may be in the upper 60s low 70s. Low chance of rain. No crowds. Just avoid that first two weeks after Christmas and then it dies down.

Another good time to go is September after Labor day. And Early November until Thanksgiving.

so they do Shamu Rocks and the fireworks.Another good time to go is September after Labor day. And Early November until Thanksgiving.

My favorite time to go to SW is during their Band Brew and BBQ weekends. It is cooler weather, the bands are good, and the BBQ is very good. The park stays open later on those Saturdays , so they do Shamu Rocks and the fireworks.

Sundays Busch Gardens has their concerts so OP you might want to look into that park while in Sarasota too. It is a great park, too.

I don't find the summer crowds to be too bad. And with the extended hours, fireworks, Shamu Rocks, Sea Lions Tonite, I find it worth it to go during the summer. It's not too bad for a visit. Most the time you're under cover. Plus all you have to do is step into Wild Artic or Penguin Encounters for a bit of cool off time.

What are the crowds like during Easter

Sundays usually have slow mornings because people go to church. Easter Sunday is pretty much the same way. Its dead in the morning but picks up around 1 or 2pm.

I was at Bands,Brew and BBQ the last two years and at Busch Gardens this year. The 2009 event at Sea World was much better than the day I went this year due to the weather,it was cold, real cold which would normally be OK by me as I like cold as long as it's sunny but it was cold, gray and damp.We were freezing while eating with very few people, the Yes concert had to be moved indoors. In 2009 even the concert was better Hall and Oates compared to Yes this year, that year was packed with probably 40 times the amount of people eating at the buffet with excellent weather. This year at Busch Gardens was great, they don't do the buffet thing as they have different stands with BBQ from different regions,Texas,NC,Memphis etc..The Pat Benatar concert was good as well.

We were at SW this past August. I would say that it is one of the easier Orlando theme parks to tour in the summer because of all the indoor activties (kind of like Epcot). Of course, some people can't stand the heat at all and even the traveling in between attractions can be too much for them.

Yeah I agree, the 2nd week of Jan is the BEST time I think..as a resident, thats when we usually hit IOA/US the most...usually during the week when most ppl at work/school. Its great and the weather is very mild..

Seaworld in the summer is...very very hot..I avoid it at all costs

September after Labor Day is good, because most of the tourists at home then. Another good time is January to February, after the holidays, when most people do not take vacations. It 's cold here then, but not too bad compared to the north. In general, the sweater is all you need.

Right about now is one of the slowest times of year. Its been dead around the area. So nows as good a time as any to visit Seaworld! Expect very few people here through the first week of February and then it picks up just a bit again.

I went on a Sunday in the second week of December. The crowds weren't bad and the weather was beautiful!

I would say in May/June. Its not very hot and is there is not too many people.
