More specifically, we are looking at having breakfast at Chef Mickey's late Sept./ early Oct. I know I have seen a post stating the later you reserve a table in the morning, the better for character interaction, but cannot locate it.

What is the best time of the day to reserve a table at Chef Mickey's or any other Character meal?

We make our ADR for Chef Mickey's after 9 a.m. and always have had good character interaction. They are in no rush and we don't feel rushed. Same with dinner there, we have been there after 5 and after 6 and never felt the characters were in a hurry. :goodvibes

We have eaten at Chef Mickey's at 7am when it opens and didn't feel rushed. The character interaction was good and we could still make it to any park that opened at 9am. (I think trying to get to an 8am opening would cause a rushed breakfast.)

The earlier the better! Less crowds and you can get to the parks faster!

I disagree...I went last year and went to Chef Mickeys on a Magic Kingdom EMH morning day. We ate a quick light breakfast in our room then we got to MK at early opening and did all the best rides. We made the last possible ADR for Chef Mickeys which was about 11:00 or 11:30. We took the monorail over to Chef Mickeys and made that our lunch for the day. The kids had extra time with all the characters and they even got to get group pictures with all the characters together. It worked out great for us.

I am sure you will have a great time whenever you go...this is just another option to consider.

Have fun,

Loralie

I agree with Loralie (must be a NY thing). We make our breakfast ADRs later. That way after a quick bite to eat in the room we get to the park at opening. We ride everything we want and then head back for a "brunch". Early ADRs seem to put too much pressure on us to get out the door so early. We have a toddler so getting out the door sometimes is not the easiest thing in the world. Also I don't like to rush my meal. "What do you mean your going back for another helping? We have to get going now!" In short I wouldn't worry about character interaction. It's more important to make plans that meet the needs of your family. Good luck. :thumbsup2
