best time for freedom at cafe mickey

after reading a trip report have seen on youtube all the characters getting up and dancing to freedom at character dinner in cafe mickey. has anyone seen this and whats best time to book to catch it. it looks hilarious

Well, both times we've been to Cafe Mickey it's been in the evening ~ I think our reservations were at 8pm both times and we would have left at about 10-10.30pm and they are definitely dancing between those times. We've seen just CMs dancing, sometimes with a couple of characters, sometimes with all the characters who are currently circling that floor.

I want to say that they dance every half hour ~ am I right??

We went at Easter and having just read kevg's post we were actually in Cafe Mickey at the same time as him as also got to see 'Freedom'. It was a brilliant meal and great fun watching them dance. Our booking was 7pm and we must have been in there until about 8.45pm so i'd say it was possibly around 8pm ish that they started doing it.

Forgot to say it was both cm's and characters dancing but it only happened once in the approx 2 hrs of being in the restaurant so I don't think it can be every half hr. Or maybe it just depends what staff they've got on that night.

I've been to Cafe Mickey once last year, was there from about 7.30 to 9pm, didn't see the Freedom dance at all.

If you read my trippie, I dedicate a full section to Cafe Mickey, which was undoubtedly one of the best nights of my life. We were booked in at 6-30pm and got the full Freedom works and then the characters delivered my DW's birthday cake. It was brilliant and the photos on my trippie sum it up nicely.

We went there in early March and were happily clapping along to the dancing when Goofy took my hand for a dance! I was both mortified and thrilled as I tangoed across the restaurant with him - good job I dressed up for dinner that night

Also Minnie got some of the little girls in a circle to dance with her - it was v cute

I was there in August and booked dinner for 7 - 7.30ish and we saw the freedom dance. i got dragged up for a dance ended up with Mickey dancing next to me and at the end of it got smacked round the head with his ear its a lot of fun!

yes it was ur thread i seen it lol got me very excited

i would be so disappointed if they didnt do it whilst we were there.

are u better booking the set character meal or just reserving a table

we went twice to cafe Mickey last year and Im sure we saw the freedom dance the first time-we were booked in at 6.30 and there until 8.30.
It was a really good atmosphere and the kids had a great time.
The second time we went back it wasnt as good it was much much busier and there were loads of unruly kids running riot (I know it is disney and there are lots of kids but I dont really want other peoples kids running around and around my table with there tops off whilst eating their food and stopping and having a nosey at me eating my food thanks!!)

When we were there it was goofy, mickey, some robin hood characters and the waiters that were doing the freedom dance.

I was there last Dec, I think we booked for around 7.15- 7.30ish and werent in too long before they done the dance. It was fantastic and so much fun!! Really amused me and something i havent forgot lol. I really loved Cafe Mickey's and its a must for when i go back.
