Hi
Just wondering what the best and most supportive tennis shoes for Disney would be, i wore my teva flip flops like I always do last year and ended up with horrible knee pain by mid day each day, not enough support I guess, so looking for some good supportive tennis shoes for this trip?
Thanks so much
Kristy

I will say NOT skechers! I wore mine last week, and my knees were killing me. I was switching between those and my Croc sandals, and by the end of the week I was having to use the bathroom stalls with grab bars my knees ached so bad.

I'm interested too in what tennis shoes others find work for people with bad knees.

I wear my New Balance but per my physical therapist, I have the Superfeet insert in them. Love them and have been using them for years. I have bad knees. You can buy them at any sporting goods store or REI (Amazon has them too). They are about $60 and you cut them to size (if needed). They last me about a year before I feel like I need to replace them. I have separate pairs in my everyday sneakers and my gym sneakers.
For ladies- I use the berry color.
Good Luck!

I'm a runner with really hard-to-fit feet. Your knee pain could be cause by how your feet and ankles move when you take a step. You could be over or under-pronating. The type of shoes you need will depend on how you walk.
I strongly suggest going to a local running store in your area and allow them to watch you walk. I'm an under-pronator but most shoes are made for an over-pronator. If you have flat feet you may need a shoe for over-pronation. You may need a wide shoe or a narrow shoe. Everyone needs something different.
Before you go buying any fancy insoles, you need a proper shoe fit. I do wear SuperFeet inserts myself but they only provide arch support and not much if you have pronation issues.

Proper shoe attire is as important when walking through the parks as when you are working out. I'm sure you don't wear sandals to the gym and walk 10 miles on a treadmill.

I basically live year round in Vionics... Wear them for looooong days n nites at Disney. Preferring the non fleeced type footbed, thong styles.
I just find sneakers too hot/heavy for my Disney days/nites. The brand Does do sneakers as well.
Good luck and have a great painless trip!
