Mine dies this morning and I can't wait for one to come in the mail so no amazon etc. I am headed out today to get a chi or a chi like iron. I have very curly hair I just treated with keratin so I need a powerful flat iron.

So, my choices are Kohl's (with no coupons), Bed Bath and Beyond (with 20% off if I can use it on that) and Target. I could go to Walmart but ours is just horribvle and I avoid it at all costs. I won't go there just to save $10. Not worth it.

Thanks for the feedback, I need the iron today! Thank goodness my hair was dry when it broke. I am returning it to amazon today, it lasted 2 weeks.

I bought a new chi from bb&b late last year. It was cheaper at target so I had bb&b look up the price online to price match (just tell then u saw it cheaper at target, they shouldnt need a ad) then they let me use a 20% off coupon.
Target: 1inch turbo chi is $139.99.
I think it was $179.99 at bb&b

Thanks! I didn't know BB and B price matched and let you use a 20% off coupon on top of that. I'll go to target and the bb and b then.

Some stores try to tell u that u cant do both but they can. You might have to talk to a manager.

I have thick curly hair also, and I had a chi. It got a short in it, and had to send it off to be fixed, but in the mean time I needed a flat iron. I went to target and got a 20 dollar remington one thinking I would only need it for a couple weeks, and if it doesn't work longer than that, I haven't lost anything. I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!! I think it works just as well as the chi and it was $100 less!!!

I too had a Chi for years - paid $100+ and it worked great - until it fell off of the counter - hit the tile floor and shattered! My DD and I both use the flat iron every day and knew we had to get another ASAP. We stopped at a Sally's Beauty Supply - found a discontinued model for $19.99 - it was $89.99 to start. Maybe you can find a deal at Sally's.

Good luck!

I have a GHD I like it and it works on my curly hair. Sephora carried them but are more expensive than CHI. IMO worth the price.
