Hi, my daughter and I are wondering, what is the best stand mixer for the best price? We will not be using it 24/7, but when needed for meals and our newest food we are cooking lots of- cupcakes!:lovestruc Again not the top of the line stand mixer, just one to get the job done when needed for a great price. Any coupons or sales that you know of, that are going on, maybe some you could give to me, would be great!:thumbsup2 Thank you so much!:goodvibes

I love my kitchen aid. It was a "surprise" gift quite a few years ago and not one I was too trilled to receive. Well, I ended up loving it. You can throw any thing in there and it comes out perfect. I never get my hand mixer out any more as it is so much quicker just to toss in it there. I love it for potatos too. There are all sorts of attachments but I have never gotten any of there. My friend has the ice cream maker and swears it makes the best ice cream EVER!!!!!!

I too am on a cupcake kick! I have also been taking a baking class for the last month, and have decided to bite the bullet and invest in a KitchenAid. I didn't want to put out the money for it, but from the research I've done they really can't be beat. QVC has really cool colors other than the ones you can buy in the stores and their prices are comparable and you can sometimes get better attachments bundled with it if you watch for their specials.

As far as I know KitchenAid is the one to buy. :)

I bake weekly (during the school year) and send different treats to work with my mom (she works as a media clerk in a high school library) for her student assitants and some of her favorite co-workers. So wish I could afford the KitchenAid (and had the counter space for it. :(). I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

Hands down, a kitchenaid. I've had mine since 1990 (yes more than 20 years!) and it still looks and operates like it's brand new. Sure, you can buy a cheaper one. BUT, the kitchenaid will be the LAST one you need to buy.

I am as frugal as they come. But, everytime I pull this out, I thank my husband all over again for the fabulous Christmas present.

I'm another KitchenAid girl. Got it as a wedding shower gift 16 years ago, will probably never have to buy another. Its a classic. They are made in Greenville, OH, I was there this week and they have a little museum, Julia Child's is on display there, very cool, it was royal blue. I would suggest getting it at Kohls with one of their 30% off coupons.

The kitchenaid mixer is amazing. If you're thinking of getting one, you can use the 20% off bed bath and beyond coupon on it. It takes a big chunk out of the price!

Anotyher Kitchen Aid owner here. I found mine was really affordable (and since have purchased one for my mom and one for my sister as group gifts). I have only bought when Kohl's has a 30% off code combined with getting Kohl's Cash. I dont think I will ever NEED to buy a new one, although it is my plan to buy a new (bigger) model in a few years!

I wanted a KitchenAide, but I have been very happy with my Cook's brand from JCP. I use it to make bread quite frequently and it does a great job - even on wheat bread.

ETA: The outide is metal (never opened it up to look inside) and it is quite heavy, much better than the Sunbeam Heritage Stand Mixer that burned up within a month.

Definitely KitchenAide. I bought it more than 20 years ago, and it's still going strong.

Love my KitchenAid. I would not even consider purchasing anything else. I am actually about to upgrade because I love it so much but want a different color.

That thing is the workhorse of any kitchen. Double and triple batches are not a problem at all for this thing.

Get a KitchenAid and skip all the rest.

KitchenAid! I love mine. It's over 9 years old and looks (and works!) like it's brand new. :)

Sunbeam, my mom has had hers for over 25 years and bought me one after I got married and it works great. The price is awesome, I think you can get one for less than $100 when you find a sale.

I grew up very close to Greenville and love the Kitchenaid store, they do cooking classes there as well. We went there to buy one (doesn't everyone who lives there?) They are still cheaper at Kohls with the 30% coupon, especially when they have the $10 for every $50 spent! Much cheaper.

Bite the bullet and definitely go for the Kitchen Aid mixer. My DH bought me one in 1971 the first year we were married and he says it's the best investment he ever made! Mine is almost 40 years old and still going strong. Love it!

Kitchenaid! I've had mine for about 22 years and it still works great. I actually want it to die so I can buy a newer model. It's all metal, unlike a lot of mixers today.

I had a Sunbeam stand mixer before my Kitchenaid and it didnt' last 2 years and had no power. My mom bought my sister and I and herself one for Christmas back in the mid 80's and none of them lasted more than 2 years. There's a reason they're cheaper than Kitchenaid.

I love my kitchen aid. I will say that I am on my third one though. Their customer service is stupendous. I had had mine for less than a year when it just stopped working. I called, they sent me a box and I returned it. They sent me another one (not sure if it was new or refurbished). It happened again about six months later, did the same thing. This was about eight years ago. It has not given me a problem since.

My grandmother had hers since before I was born. My grandparents bought a Dairy Queen in '75. They used it daily for the whipped cream frosting for the cakes. I think they finally bought a nicer one in the mid-90's and gave my grandmother back hers for home use.

My mother has my great grandmothers, it's still going strong. I will get that when she passes.

I bought a refurbished KitchenAid mixer off their website and it's 2 years old and still going strong.

Nothing is better than a Kitchen Aid. They've really come down in price too. I just saw them at Walmart and they were under $200
