I've been reading alot of the threads about best spots to watch Wishes, Spectromagic, and Illuminations (all of which we plan to see on our trip in early Dec.), and I'm getting concerned about having to fight for position. Having to battle other people to stake my claim for prime viewing position would sap alot of the "magic" for me. So I'm wondering what the best compromise spots are for getting a good view, but not having to get there 2 hours ahead (wouldn't work with my 7 and 8 year olds) and/or fight off claim jumpers! We'll be doing Spectro at 6pm followed by Wishes at 7pm on a Monday night, and then Wishes on a Wed. or Fri. at 9:30pm. Thanks for any input!

Just 'listening in' ;) I'd love to know as well...

We didn't have the best view of "Wishes" when we saw it, but we stood along the pathway from the front of the castle towards Tomorrowland. We were right near the intersection with the path into the rose garden. The view of the castle was great, but some of the fireworks were obstructed by trees. OK, a lot of the fireworks. I don't recommend that spot!
For Illuminations, we always sit on a bench near the Germany pavilion. There are several benches facing the water. We show up about one hour- 45 minutes ahead. When latecomers show up and line the railing in front of us, we sit on the back of the bench and we can see fine.
Hope that helps!

Lady Aurora-
Thanks for the info---it's good to know the bad spots ahead of time, too! I like your bench trick (that never would have occurred to me). We'll definitely have to try that!
