Best spot for Fireworks Epcot on NYE??

Going a little outside my comfort zone, but we are coming to DW 12/30-1/4. Plan to see fireworks and NYE party at EPCOT. Any thoughts on best spot to stakeout for viewing NYE firework show?

How long do you want to stake out for? People save spots for hours, i.e. most of the day, on NYE at Epcot. In the past they have opened up some of the grassy areas where you can spread out a blanket to sit for the day ... but I'm not sure where / how current construction would affect this ... I didn't pay attention when we were there in August.

For the most part, there are not any horrible spots.

Somewhere upwind from the center of World Showcase Lagoon. Downwind gets a confetti of fireworks packaging and lots of smoke.

I went a couple years ago and a couple hours before midnight I grabbed a seat on one of the planters near where the old Agent P's check-in used to be. This gave me relatively quick access to a bathroom up the path toward what is now the WDI Presents: Epcot Experience building. At the time I sat down, I was the only person there, though eventually other people joined me.

Just before midnight, I made my move toward the center of the main walking path toward the World Showcase, making sure to get past the monorail track, so it wasn't obstructing my view. It wasn't difficult at all, and I had a pretty good view of the fireworks, even if most of the regular Illuminations show that preceded them was difficult to see.
