Before our last trip I had picked up some new moisture wicking socks. These socks are thinner than the socks I use when running - my thought was I wanted thinner moisture wicking socks in FL in the heat & humidity.
I started the week wearing my usual socks (thin, not moisture wicking) and did fine for the few days of our week long trip, but then I noticed that I had 2 or 3 small blisters starting to form. It dawned on me that I was not wearing the moisture wicking socks I had bought. I tried the thin, moisture wicking socks, but that didn't seem to help much.
I decided to try the socks I wear when I run. When we got back to our room that evening - my blisters were gone!! I was shocked to say the least. I finished the week wearing the thicker moisture wicking socks and I didn't see any signs of blisters the rest of the week.
I have found that I like the Nike socks for running. Regardless of that, I suggest finding a brand that fits well, and to go with a thicker sock. Not necessarily super thick and something comfy!
Good luck!
