Best Sneaker and Sandal (not Croc) under $100

Sandals -- Tevas hands down. Mine are a few years old, so i don't know the model name. Just get the ones that are about 80 bucks and those should be the good ones!

I am a HUGE fan of birkenstocks. They are the only thing I wear. Total comfort and support right out of the box!! I wear my water proof ones for water parks and the regular ones for touring the parks.

I think the most comfortable ones are the three strap Florida's and Orlandos! How appropriate is that?!I also like the two strap Sydney's, the original Arizonas and I just got the one big strap Oahu platforms...very comfy!! If you look you can find them for under $110...QVC.com has a big selection. Also, if you go to www.baumhouse.com you will find a HUGE selection. They are based in Germany where birks are made. Even if you pay the $15 for airmail (it takes about two weeks to get to you) the prices are STILL less than you find here in the states and there are tons of styles you would never find here. I've gotten three pairs from them and it's Totally worth the wait. They are GREAT to work with! Check them out!!

I mostly wear birkenstocks, but for some reason wearing them is now making my heel very sore when I do alot of walking.
I wanted to find some sandles that would not be ruined by getting wet. I found Earth Shoes at Walmart for under $20 a pair. They have very good arch support and were so comfortable. They stood up to getting wet and touring the parks for a week. No blisters or sore feet. I
just bought 2 new pair for this season.
I like to take about 3 pair of different sandles and switch to a different pair each day.
I cannot wear tennis shoes due to a broken toe years ago.

My SIL/BIL both bought Keens and wore them the whole trip and loved them.

I just bought
Tevas Pretty Rugget Nylon Sandals for me and Teva Westward Sandals for my kiddo!

last years model close out for $62.40 with tax and free shipping to my local store.

On my feet now: New Balance 606 All Terrain running shoes. They're comfy but not as comfy as my old 805s with a rollbar (more arch support with the rollbar). I might get one of the Dr. Scholl's arch thingys to put in them. Can't beat the price of the 606s, though: $21 including tax at the New Balance Factory Outlet. Gotta love living in Maine for that one! We get LL Bean and New Balance! :) I'm not a sandal person but my friends LOVE their Tevas. It's the only shoe they wear when the snow melts! She has tiny feet and can buy kids Tevas or small women's at Olympia Sports. He has huge feet and has to order them online. They're totally NOT sneaker people. I guess we complement each other!

I love Keen. I have three pair of Keen Antigua that I bought and wore to WDW during the past two years. I paid about $50.00 for each pair. They are now on sale at REI for 19.95. I already have both colors, or I would definitely be buying another pair!

I also like the St.Barts:

For sandals Keen Newport 2s we all 3 have a pair and love them.
For tennies Asics have been wearing them for years, currently I have Kensei, DH has Kayano, DD has 2110.

Which style of Birkenstock do you recommend? Are they comfortable for a long long day?

Thanks!

I have the "Florida" & "Granada" sandals, as well as a pair of thong type ones whose name escapes me. I recommend them all - because they all have the same footbed, the fit is almost identical (except for the strap on my big toe on the thongs).

As I said, I prefer Tevas for time in the park because they are secured onto your foot (no worries about them flying off on rides & I don't have to work so hard to keep them on my feet when my legs get tired & I start shuffling a bit).

I switch to my Birkies when we've left the park & my feet need a change. They're very comfortable for tired feet to walk around in at night for shopping, dining, and other non-park activities. I also will spend the day in them if we aren't going to a park.

I get my new balance sneakers at Shoe Carnival for less than 50 and my birkenstocks at Sam's club for 39. There is both for less than 100!

Tammy,
I just wanted to warn you that the new balance at Shoe carnival are made just for them minus all the good things that make new balance good sneakers. There are no extra supports, padding, odor control etc that new balance are known for. If you have a Kohl's near you they sell the real new balance. I only know this because I bought and returned a pair of new balances to Shoe Carnival. I already owned a pair and could just tell they were not the same so I looked for the shoe number on the new balance website and when I couldn't find them there I emailed them and asked what technology they used in them and got a message back that there was nothing special in them that they make a stripped down version special just for Shoe Carnival. Just an FYI.

Crocs and tevas are great for casual wear at WDW, but I have really had a hard time finding a dressy sandal that goes well with capris and dresses UNTIL...the Madison Slide. These are fabulous! They are so comfortable and the pressure points beads massage your feet after a long day at the parks. They dry quickly and they stay on your feet with no blisters. I go to Wal mart and get a length of the grosgrain ribbon (about 42" makes two bows) to change the accent bows to match my outfit or purse. There is a local boutique that sells them and they are priced about like the crocs. They come in a variety of colors and they are inexpensive enough to have a couple of pair. The boutique, tempt-me.com, also sells online with paypal. I love mine. Just click to see a photo and view the additional styles and colors. I have a pair of black ones and I put polka dot ribbons on them. Aren't they cute? And they are so-o comfortable.

I like Keens and Merrells. My current favorite sandal is the Merrell Outback.

As far as sneakers, I like Nike, especially now since Nike has a rating of stability, cushioning, etc, on their sneakers.
