Any recommendations? I have lots of old home movies, VHS, V8 and Hi8 format, but don't have those cameras anymore (they broke). Would like to have these transferred to DVD. Any recommendations on reasonably priced companies that do this?
Thanks!

We just went to Best Buy and bought a VHS to DVD converter deck for $139. Place like Walgreens charge $35 per VHS take to do the conversion. So if you have more than 4 or 5 tapes to convert, it's cheaper just to buy the deck do it yourself.

I only have 3 tapes that are VHS. Most are 8mm or hi8 from an old camcorder. But thanks, I'll try that for the VHS tapes.

Check with your local library -I was surprised when I found out our local library offered the service for a small fee. Whether or not they had 8mm I'm not sure.
