I need to know if there is a way or a software package that allows you to journal and then print your journaling? I know this has probably been asked before but I have been searching the internet and don't have a clue!!! I usually just handwrite it all.

Also, any TRUE BEGINNER how-to page to attach embellishments and eyelets??

I like Microsoft Word because you can make fun titles with their "wordart". This may have come on your computer but just about any word processing package will do for the basics. I have also added way too many great free fonts from the internet to jazz up my journaling. I also use Print Shop. It has some basic photo editing and more flexibility for making titles. Also lots of clip art you can use as is, manipulate, or use for paper piecing.

I use microsoft word and excel. And, I download my fonts from the internet for FREE!!! Can't be that.... Good luck. HOpefuly, someone can help you that has had experience with actual software.

I also agree with Microsoft Word. There are many many things you can do in this program. I do most of my pages in the program also. Very easy to use and also everyone else can see the page because it is a Word doc.

I too use Microsoft Word with free fonts downloaded from the web!

Can you get your paragraphs to be in a wavy type pattern with Microsoft word? You know what I mean? Like in the shape of clouds or scrolls?

I used Word and downloaded fonts from the internet to do the title on my Hidden Mickey page HERE and also for journaling on my BCV and WDW Title page layouts. I also used it for some of my other LOs at 2peas.

I need a lesson in Computer journaling. I see all of the neat free fonts , and would love to use them , but don't know how to get to them once I download. That unzip thing has me totally confused. And every time someone tries to explain my eyes glaze over . Are the scrapbook programs more simple or harder to work with? I swear I need a book for "Scrapbook Computer Dummies".

Here's how I learned. Go to this site and there are instructions on downloading that hopefully should help you out. If not let me know, and I'll try to answer your questions.

Click on "WHAT DO I DO NOW?" and you'll get the instructions.

Pinecone Press has a computer book coming out soon! I love their books...I use them everyday...and always learn so much.

Anyway...it is called Scrapbooking with your Computer: Tips and Techniques. I know people who took classes from the writer at ACCI and they think it will be awesome.

One of the magazines, I can't remember which one...but not CK or SS, has a "special issue" coming out on this topic in the fall. It should be good as well.

Hang in there...I am sure all the computer journalers will be there to help all of us challenged folks soon!

BTW...I took a computer class at CKU...and it was AWFUL! The classes I wanted the most (Bunch of Characters-being the other) were the worst! Go figure.

It was a new class....and the teacher wasn't prepared....nothing new...if you knew the least little bit. She was local , not a traveling teacher.

I bet the classes taught by CKU staff are better.

I talked to my friend who took the Pinecone class...she said the teacher didn't have a computer, and she still learned more than she ever thought possible. I really think the book will be great! Come to find out...the teacher lives about 45 minutes from here...I am going to see where she is teaching in the area...
