Best Route from SSR to W.Pucks Cafe

First I want to say thank you to DIS for allowing a forum for DVC owners to rent out their points/reservations. I'm on my third rental and I appreciate the latest posting guidelines on the R/T board.

OK - We are going for 3 nights only for F&WF and purchasing DDP - our first nights dinner is at Puck's Cafe since we won't be in a park our day of arrival. What is the easiest way to get there from SSR. I realize we can take the boat, but if we were to walk, what is the route?

We stayed in Congress Park...
There was a walkway along the water that took you to the
market place....you can just continue on to west side....

You can also take the bus...and the boat as you know.

If you take the bus get off at Pleasure Island which is the second stop. It's closer than if you get off at the Market Place. It's not a bad walk, but if it's hot it can seem like an eternity!

Dh and I were at SSR a few weeks ago and Wolf Gang's is one of our favorite restaurants.

If you are staying in the Springs or Grandstand area there is a walkway that goes to the West Side which will bring you out near Cirque and HoB and WPC. which would be shorter than going the other way. Any other location and it is probably a wash as to which route to take since WPC is on the Westside of DTD. The walkway from Congress Park will take you to the Marketplace end and then you walk through there and Pleasure Island to get to WPC.
If you look at this map you can see where the path starts out near the boat area and goes to the west side back parking lot and along to the shopping restaurant area. Hope you have a good trip.

We just ate at WPC on our trip to SSR. We took the boat from SSR to Marketplace, and then a second boat to the Westside. I don't know if this second boat will run in October, but it worked out well for us.
