best room

Has anyone stayed in the Grand Floridian and if so which could any one recommend a room with a nice view or a view of the Severn Seas and the castle.

We are staying there on our wedding/honeymoon. Do you know do they still have the water pagent in the evening during November.

Also does anyone know when they put up their christmas decorations in the GF?

Hi Minnie24,

I wish I had better infor for you, but here's what I can tell you:

We stayed at the GF in one of the little buildings. I believe the name was something like Conche Key (sorry about spelling) which was a wonderful location: beautiful grounds, close to the pool, Gaspirilla's (the Food Court area) etc.

We could see the lake from our window but wasn't really what I would consider a water view - LOL.

To the best of my knowledge, they still do the Water parade all year long.

Historically, they put up the Christmas decorations mid-November, but you can call the front desk and they can give you the exact date as you get closer.

You won't be able to request a specific room at, but you can request a 'Magic Kingdom view' if you book a lagoon view room. These can't be guaranteed but they will try there best.

They have the water pageant all year round. The times vary but you will be given information on this when you check-in.

We will also be there during the holiday period. We;re staying from December 20th for weeks.

Have a magical wedding & honeymoon - what a great place to spend it.
