Best Room Options for Group of 6-8 at DLH or GCH

We've stayed at the DLR hotels many times, but have never had a need for more than one regular sized room. We'll be going in mid April with family and will have at least 6 (2 adults and 4 children) and possibly 7 or 8 if the granparent(s) join. DLH is our first choice, but we would consider GCH as well. Any suggestions or ideas for rooms that will accommodate us? Are adjoining rooms the best option? Suites? Thank you in advance for some input. :)

At GCH adjoining rooms will give you 4 beds (2 queens per) and a capacity of 10 people (5 per room) and most likely be the cheapest. You can get an air mattress that fits between the two queens if you need more beds.

Next option would be a two or three bedroom suite. You have to call directly to get room configuration options and pricing but usually a bit more than two connecting rooms.

Keep in mind connecting rooms won't be guaranteed, but of course they do their best. The only guarantee for 8 people together would be a suite.

We stayed at the DLH in a 2 bedroom suite with 4 adults and 3 kids. We had a king bed, 2 queen beds and a sofa sleeper. We asked for and used a rollaway (which fit nicely in the master), so no one had to sleep in the living room. 2 baths plus a powder room. -- Suzanne

We generally get a two bedroom suite when we have that many also. We've had 2 queens, a king , a queen pull out sleeper, and the couch twin sleeper.

Thank you for the responses!

Has anyone experienced requesting adjoining rooms but not receiving them?
