I'm currently planning a trip to WL for December 2005 and I was looking for any advice for the best time of view or room to request. Any advice would be greatly appreciated . Thanks!! :flower:

We were in room 6039, inner courtyard, overlooking the pool. It is a room with 2 queens. If you'd like to see a picture taken from the balcony e mail me at robincrawford@knology.net.

Thanks ! I'm traveling with 2 teenagers so 2 queen beds would be a good idea. I had forgotten some of the rooms had bunk beds.

We stayed in 6031 the last two times we went... we really love the location... right by the elevators that are closest to Roaring Forks, the laundry, pool etc... email me at mom2em97@aol.com if you would like to see balcony pics..

The resort is small, so walking and getting around is not an issue. I personally would not get a standard room here. You don't want to look at a parking lot at this place (trust me). The best woods view rooms are the north wing (unless you want to overlook the villas and quiet pool). The courtyard is really beautiful, if you can swing it. The WL is simply heaven! Have fun!

Most certainly the courtyard view is the best. You have to be careful that even though it may be classified a woodsview that you can still overlook the parking lot. Just happened to us and I questioned if this was really a standard view. We were overlooking the "garage" where they store the luggage for guests. Not a pretty view at all and at woodsview prices.

Where was your room located (i.e., over Whispering canyon, North/South Wing, etc.)? We have a Woodsview booked for February, so I'd like to have the info.

Thanks in advance!

We were in 6017, and it had bunk beds. I think the 6th floor is smoking, we smoke(no flames please), and that is the room we were assigned after asking for a smoking room. It was a very nice courtyard view. We watched WISHES from the end of the hall all by ourselves on several nights. We could also see the EWP from our room.

No, not all of 6 is smoking, our room and the ones around it were non smoking.

rcraw45425--Could you see the Lobby right outside your door?? Thanks in advance!

No, we were actually on one of the sides that had the door facing what would be the front of the hotel if there wasn't a wall there, if that makes sense. Upon leaving the elevator on the sixth floor you would actually walk across the lobby to the opposite side of the building, turn toward the rear of the building and go around the corner. Our room was almost on top of Artists Point restaurant. It was one room away from the observation window into the restaurant if that helps. If you came out of the room and turned to your right and went around the corner you were at another bank of elevators that opened up next to Roaring Forks and the guest laundry. Up the hall a few steps and you were at the door to the pool.
