anyone know if its better to stay on the bottom floor or 2nd floor? close to harbor or in the back? Suggestions?

Thanks!

Stayed there three times. With four kids we have always gotten their mini-suites with two queens and a roll-out queen. We have always been on the 2nd or 3rd floor.

In any case, here is my advice.

1. Do not be on the ground floor. Too much noise.

2. Ask for a room on the opposite side from the Captain Kidd's restaurant. Same reason. Noise.

3. I have never requested a room nearer to or further from the street, but the BWPPI is long and I have not noticed any difference between front and back. So I would choose front just to cut down a little on walking.

4. I suspect rooms close to the pool (which is kind of in the center) may be a little noisier, but cannot say for sure.

Have a great trip! pixiedust:

We stayed in a mini-suite in November of 2007. Our room was on the 3rd floor, closest to Harbor. We didn't notice any noise, but then we never do anyway. We're all pretty sound sleepers.

There are 3 flights of stairs to climb, but there's also an elevator down by the pool. I tried the stairs once, then used the elevator the rest of the time. :rolleyes1

VacationDad wrote the following about the BWPPI:

“Yes, it does have an elevator. It’s slow but it works! We have stayed there a few times, and we always ask for the 3rd (upper floor), north side of the building. Much of the parking for the hotel faces in to the rooms on the bottom floor so you get headlights and car noises you won’t get as much on other floors. The north side of the building is the side away from Cpt. Kidds restaurant. I understand that they sometimes get early morning deliveries and you can hear the delivery trucks.
We stay at BWPPI because of their “mini-suites” rooms which have 2 queen beds and a fold-out couch. Last time we went we had room 369 (I think). It was about 8 – 10 room back from the front of the hotel which worked great. This is our favorite place to stay when we go to DLR.”

We always have been on the ground floor right by harbour. I like it there because we walk out of our room and were pretty much at the cross walk which I loved. I never noticed any noise, but I'm also a sound sleeper and I think my boys are probably louder than any street noise anyways.

I to am curious about this for i have never stayed there. We will be in a mini suite as well and I requested as close to the entrance as possible? Not sure how big/small the hotel is, but htought if I am close to entrance that means closer to DL!!:goodvibes:lmao:

We stayed on the first floor and I requested, and received a room towards the rear of the hotel. We did not hear noise from Captain Kidds and we also didn't get too much noise from other guests walking by to their rooms.
