Best rides to ride during the Fireworks & during Fantasmic.

We were there last week and what we did, accidentally actually, was this: We were in Fantasyland (which according to cast members, the only rides that continue movement during the show are teacups and Casey Jr.). We watched Tink fly from the carousel area, which was amazing viewing of her, then we went right over and hopped on Casey Jr. There was no line and we walked on and enjoyed the rest of the show while in the monkey cage! Sounds silly, but you get some pretty amazing views from that little railroad! We did see stopped Storybook boats filled with guests and said next time, we would try that option out, but the Casey Jr. way was great!

Good to know! I'll try that next time. What a fun way to experience the fireworks!!

I'm thinking that having FPs for Buzz, SM & Roger Rabbit would be handy (during that time) since they are nearby & it would minimize the crowds on our touring.
& based on what some of you are saying.....If i'm over near RR & the Matterhorn & the fireworks begin.......I can't head over towards Big Thunder Mt. RR?

I think Roger Rabbit is closed before the fireworks start. They close down all of Toontown well before to prep for the fireworks show. At least that's how it's been the last several years that I've gone. (During holidays)

What about the Railroad?? Anybody ride the railroad during Fantasmic or Fireworks?

We were there 4-6 -4-12
One night (Tuesday I believe) we had just eaten dinner at Steakhous 55 and returned to Disneyland.
We got on the train just as the flames were shooting up from the castle.
As we aproached Toon Town, the conductor announced that we would be making a stop in Toon Town, and that he appolagized because it would be VERY LOUD because the frieworks would be launched very close to our position. He seemed to be saying this with a wink though.

A few seconds after the train stoped, they shot off the finilli (spelling)
It was incredible, LOUD, and we could lean over and see them bursting directly overhead. It was awsome.
As the train started again, the conductor again apologized for the stop (Again with a wink in his voice)

My friends and I were lucky enough to be on the Astro Orbiter while the fireworks were going on (total luck in timing). Really neat when the HM sequence started and the green fireworks shot up through the hub. Great unobstructed view, if you don't mind going around in circles :faint:

Being higher up and looking down, it gives you a good idea of how packed that show can get. :crowded:
