Best Restaurants in or out of the park

Mimi's up the road on Harbor. Beside the Howard Johnson hotel. AMAZING food, lots to eat, and very decent prices.

Mimi's is GREAT, the portions are huge. When we eat at Mimi's I always have lunch for the next day. :)

Millie's is good too, good prices and good portions. We were able to share meals when we ate here in July 08.

Denny's is good too, they have "regular" prices.

In DTD there is the Jazz Kitchen, really good food, good prices!! And Rainforest Cafe. We love the RFC and we eat there every trip. DBF and I share the Maya combo and an appetizer, we are stuffed when we are done eating there. :)

There is an outdoor shopping center, called the Anaheim Garden Walk which has sooo many restaurants like The Cheesecake Factory, PF Changs, Bubba Gump's, CPK, and McCormick and Schmicks along with many other options..

Being an east coaster there is nothing I look forward to more than In and Out Burger.

Oh yucky!! I'm a Californian and have an In & Out pretty close home and I don't eat there. I do not think they are that good. But to each their own. :) In Anahiem there is not an In & Out super close to the parks, which is what I think the OP was looking for.

Yes, the Gardenwalk is great and has a lot of great places to eat. But again, I think the OP was looking for something closer to DL as it appears they will only be there for 1 day. :)

ESPN Zone has good food and is somewhat reasonable, just a few dozen yards away from DLH.

Add me on the Cannot Be Trusted list as #2 then!:rotfl2: I am also in California (right in the heart of L.A. and about 10 minutes from the famous In and Out in West Hollywood), and I also do not think they are that great. 'Overrated' is a good word for them. I have had better burgers! I never understood all the fuss about them. They are okay but not worth all the hype, in my opinion!!

If options and cost are an issue, GardenWalk is definitely worth the extra five minutes than eating at any of the restaurants in DTD! For Sure!

While the Blue Bayou is nostalgic for me, and has a great atmosphere, they don't have the greatest food. I have had many good meals at Catals and, as previous posters have said, ESPN Zone. I don't eat "junk food" all that often, but their cheese fries are to die for.

ESPN Zone rocks! It can take a long time to be seated if you don't have any kind of PS made in advance, and it is certainly not a quiet restaurant by any means. But the food is excellent. Great, large chicken strips (and apparently, from what other DIS'ers have said about the downsizing from strips/tenders to nuggets in the two parks, ESPN Zone is possibly the only place on the DLR property that still sells chicken strips or tenders and not just nuggets). The BBQ sauce is soooooooo good. And their milkshakes are very thick and rich. MY friend also said her burger was delicious. The only thing I would NOT recommend at ESPN Zone is the very watered down, almost tasteless lemonade. It was basically like water with a spritz of lemon, but was sold as lemonade.

Also, when you eat there they will give you little scratch-off cards with discounts to the ESPN Zone store for merchandise.

Besides Denny's, are there any other 24 hour diners? Unfortunately, Mimi's closes at 11, but I'm thinking if I'm ever starving after closing at DL, I might want to fill up somewhere.

Gardenwalk is only about one mile away from Disneyland. Its not that far of a walk.

That mile can seem forever if you've been walking all day and if you're staying onsite it's farther than that. No, it's not a bad walk at all but if you're not used to walking or tired then it is a terrible walk. lol

OOOH Or the Rainforest Cafe in DTD or Joes Crab Shack

mmmm yes, both yummy places to eat!!

Yucky? YUCKY?!? In and Out Burger?

Thanks for backing me up Sherry. :) I knew I liked for a good reason! LOL :goodvibes

I don't know...I think eating in DTD is comparable to prices at the GW. Bubba Gump, CA Pizza Kitchen, PF Changs, these are places I've eaten and I would say their prices are very close to the prices at RFC and the Jazz Kitchen in DTD. I think it really depends on how far from the parks you want to get, or how long you want to be away from them.

Cheese fries. YUM, we haven't done ESPN Zone yet, we probably should. I do think it would be a lot of fun! I do disagree about the food at the BB tho, I think the food there is absolutely GREAT!! I really enjoy eating there, the food, the ambiance, the whole being outside in bayou at night when you're really inside a building in CA in the middle of the afternoon. :)

The only ones I know of are the Denny's and I think the IHOP but again, the IHOP is way overpriced so just hit up the Denny's. Millie's might be open late but I really don't think it is.

Do NOT go to Rainforest Cafe!!!

Their food is disgusting!!!

ESPN zone is awesome though...especially if there is a great game on! ;)

Tortilla Jo's Express window is the only other place I'll visit in DTD.
