What would be the best Disney restaurant to celebrate my daughter's first birthday?

I think I would like a character meal, so it would look like the characters 'attended her party.' We will have family there as well. I would really like Mickey and Minnie but I think Chef Mickey would be my only option, right? I haven't eaten there but I know the reviews on the food aren't great.

I'm also open to other ideas. Be Our Guest is a family favorite so I was considering there too but no characters there. But I plan on doing lots of character pictures that day.

Thanks in advance!

We are also taking our daughter for her first birthday in January. We were thinking of Crystal Palace since we think realistically at one she will probably only know the Hundred acre forest characters. She only shows interest in Pooh bear and Eeyore right now. Thinking of throwing in Tusker house too because it's mickey and the food is supposed to be really good.

We did Tusker House for our son's first (and 2nd and 3rd - it's become a tradition) birthday. It has Mickey, Goofy, Donald and Daisy, and the food is pretty good for a buffet.

Each time he got a card with the characters' autographs and a little cupcake. It's also where he discovered his love of Mickey waffles on his first birthday.

Besides Chef Mickey there's also Hollywood and Vine at Hollywood Studios that have Mickey and Minnie (Donald, Goofy, and Pluto too).

We like both but I personally prefer Chef Mickeys.

I find the atmosphere better for enjoyment at Tusker House, FWIW. Also, the food is better than CM, and I didn't like H&V AT ALL, (but I have cleanliness issues).

Thank you all! I might have to get a park hopper so we can do Tusker House. I haven't been there, but I LOVE Boma. I wanted to do MK on her birthday though so I can have photos of her at castle and with some characters.

She's only 3 months now so I don't know who she will recognize but she has a ton of Minnie stuff, so I was hoping for Minnie Mouse!

Her Birthday Outfit is already bought and waiting in her closet.

I love that!! Is she on track growth wise? My daughter already wears 9/12 and is six months. She was a 9lb baby though. LOL

We've been taking our daughter to Disney since was 1 y.o.; she's now 8 y.o.

The answer to your question, "It won't matter."

Some kids like Characters, others not so much.

More importantly - how do you know your daughter will be awake during your feeding time?

You want photos and memories, but children do not cooperate.

So then the answer is, "Where ever the adults want to take the child."

If you will be at MK for the day and want character photos, I think Chef Mickey's is a great choice. The food isn't great, but if you are more focused on characters and a festive atmosphere, you will definitely get that! We had my DS's 1st birthday dinner at O'hana. He, of course, doesn't remember a darn thing, but we have a super cute picture of him with his birthday cupcake and our server holding up two plates behind his head to make him look like Mickey. Great memories - and you will make them wherever you choose to go! If you want to be with Minnie on her 1st b-day, go for it!

My little one was born early and was only 5 lbs 7oz at birth. She is 3 months today and wearing 3 month clothes. She can still fit in 0-3 month, but they are more challenging to get her in and out. She's on track now. At her 2 month appointment she was up to 11 lbs 8 oz! 55 percentile for weight but she's short so only 10 percentile for height. :)

Good point! I don't know what her schedule will be then, and even if she had a schedule if we are at WDW I guess I can't predict when she will be awake or not. Maybe we will do Be Our Guest!
