Best restaurant.com choices near WDW and Universal.

Have you used vouchers from restaurant.com while staying at either resort? Which restaurants would you recommend? TIA

We almost always get one for House of Blues. My husband really enjoys their ribs. We are going in a couple of weeks and have one for them and a couple of others that we haven't tried yet.

We have made reservations but have also had good luck as a walk in.

We used a restaurant.com certificate at each of the following restaurants:

House of Blues (DTD)
Il Mulino (Swan)
Kimonos (Swan)

We had no problem using them at any place. We did not have ADRs for these places, but we tended to eat late.

We also got one for Dolphin and Royal Plaza. The meal and value at Royal Plaza was by far the best value. I won't get one for House of Blues again (I didn't like the restaurant, we ended up giving the coupon away after waiting an hour) or Dolphin (it was an overpriced buffet with Goofy and Pluto) but will go back to the Giraffe restaurant at Royal Plaza.

We are thinking about getting the $50 gift card for House of Blues, but we have never done this before.

I realize we have have an order total of $100, but we will have 5 adults and 2 or 3 kids eating in our party. But, we usually try to eat fairly cheaply.

I know that 18% gratuity is still added in, but what about tax, and how much is that? I think in the end it will end up being a very expensive meal.

It's in the Pointe Orlando entertainment complex next to the convention center on International Drive.From Universal 5-10 minute drive depending on traffic,from Disney like 10-15 minutes and less than 5 from Sea World.

We did Garden Grove at the Swan last time- definitely worth it with the certificate!
