Best Resort to Watch Wishes & EWP...

Have seen them from GF... which is your fave though and why? Poly, GF or Contemporary?

GF for us....we saw the fireworks over the castle on our honeymoon from there in 97'....watching from the Poly is great too though

Have seen them from the GF on our Honeymoon in 2002 & from the California Grill in the CR. Both BEAUTIFUL!

i think the poly is the best. it is the first stop of the night at 9:00 and the boats stop really close to the beach infront of the pool. wishes usually goes off right around the same time too. when we stayed at the contemporary the boats didn't pass by till around 10:00. a little too late for my 2 year old.

So, at the Poly, do the pipe in the music on the beach? Think we'll be eating at Kona Cafe that night so we may just stay there...

Since I am on the EWP Suite thread I have seen the parade many times and when we saw it from the Wilderness Lodge last time it was the best so far. Have seen it from MK, GF, and Poly so far also.

I'm not sure if there is a place to sit down and watch WISHES and maybe have a cocktail or even a snack. I looked at the restarants at the POLY - appears the Barefoot Pool Bar could fulfill my needs of alcohol, a snack, fireworks and a boat parade. I know at Epcot - I plunked down early at the Mexcio cantina - drank some margs, ate some chips, fought off tresspassers and had a great time. Is the best place to do something similar at the Poly at the Barefoot Pool Bar? Any suggetions would be appreciated. Maybe the CG at the Contemporary? I don't care if I'm inside or outside. Just GOOD view and beverage would be the priority.

williejs, a fellow Hoosier would not steer you wrong. LOL Wilderness Lodge to the right of the outside bar, stop for your favorite libation and then a few steps to the beach where my favorite view of the EWP is to be found. Is the closest I have seen it. If only it had not been the shortened version, due to the hurricanes, it would have been perfect.
